NEW RELEASE: LAH Building & More! (1 Viewer)

I still say CS should make the Brandenburg Gate. Doesn't have to be to exact scale but on the large side. 1 side Berlin 38 other side Berlin 45. Brian,if I say please will you make it?

The idea has been floated for a while and it seems a must have item. But with or without side buildings, flags of course. Any ideas beyond that?

Let us know!

Cheers!

Brian, flags are a must. 1 side damaged and other side 1938. no side buildings neccesary. it would be the best LAH setting, berlin 45 setting out there! all your other great buildings could be set near it for the complete Berlin. eic bin ein berliner!!! may have spelled that wrong but just the thought of that monument makes me feel German

The statues on top would be the main thing. Great idea making it 2 sided....one pre-war and the other 1945. Hanging draped flags for the 1938 side would be an added bonus. I would be in to purchase this set !!!!

Should be large enough to fit a Russian T-34 tank as well {sm3}

I would want and buy a brandenbug gate but, it should be done initially for the berlin series I want one for that not a bomb damaged one. no side sections are not necessary at all nor, are flags for me (easy to make) but, the emphasis must be on victoria, goddess of triumph or, its not really worth doing IMO. That is what the BG is known for.

Would be a stunning dio piece for LAH collectors

A Brandenburger Gate would be great. But for the LAH/Berlin 38 range. I wouldn't want a damaged one. Flags would be great as well.

Still I think it's too big to produce in this scale. Even without side buildings.

Oliver

Ditto Oliver's comments. No damaged one and with flags, but it would have to be scaled down a bit to be practical.

Agree with Mitch here. The Brandenburg Gate would not be complete without the Victoria statue on top. Berlin 38' non damaged version in reality would be better.
How to achieve a relative height........ make it in a upper half and lower half ? Just a thought but it seems the interest is there !

Scalewise I still think the Luitpold Hall would be a very nice building. A middle section and two side sections with these massive flaggs. Not too difficult to build a master for casting and it can be scalled to fit with 1:30.

Brandenburger Gate - if you scale this down to keep the production costs within a limit it propably won't look so good afterall. Yes I would like a BG, but it must look right.
And if a BG would be available as a kit, I certainly would go for it.

Oliver

oliver..

A kit would be great and I would do one. I had thought about building a BG myself but, not got around to it. Mind, I may just wait and see where CS go with the additional buildings for the berlin range they are releasing. The Luitpold would be a interesting building and one I would buy for my LAH collections

@Brian, any updates or relase dates on the new LAH Building etc?

Cheers,
Oliver

:smile2: The Wilhelmstrasse building arrived today :smile2:

First of all, the facade is very tall. Really impressive. Quality of the casting is good, so are the flags.:smile2:

Really nice are the detailed lamp posts. Unfortunately they must be of a different scale. I find them too small. :( Also the swastika stickers on the lamp posts aren't straight.:(

The packaging is very poor/cheap. It did the job to protect all parts. But the polystyrene is now in pices and not usable any more. :( I wish Brian would use foam instead of this messy polystyrene.

All in all:
The Wilhelmstrasse structure is very nice for the LAH collector. But you need space because it is tall, very tall!

Now I can't wait to see what comes next.

But please Brian, improve the packaging and re-scale these very nice lamp post.

Oliver
