A little bit late for the before birthday party, on this one( just found out about this new line by accident). And it is a wonderful idea. And it being painted is awesomingly great!!. I will always be a miniatures gamer ( warhammer, flames of war, 40k) for the price of the single miniature of $10.00, armor @ $60.00. You can not beat the price. Into perspective for (mind you I have not bought any new miniatures, for a few years). The price for a warhammer 40k tank costs$50.00 to $75.00. A pack of two soldiers $14.00 Unassembled and Unpainted. So this CS product is very reasonable at its price.and Looking at it through their web site, just makes me hooked, from now on.

I was with my friend Larso when bought some at our local shop in Brisbane. He will collect them rather than game with them. I wonder whether the collectors or the gamers will be the main buyers?

MM are the main CS dealer in the UK but as yet aren't listing any CB products on their website. Having said that, and I'm sure Ken won't mind me saying so, the website isn't always up to date :p. I haven't contacted them yet so can't say whether they are planning to get them in or not. I'd love to see some photos of some bought and paid for figures/vehicles rather than having to rely on the promo shots taken for the company. Would anyone care to share some?

When I first came across the venture, completely by accident too, I was certainly quite excited at the prospect. As others have already said, the price tag for pre-built, pre-painted 28mm figures is not excessive when you take into account the
prices figure painters charge these days. I used to do quite a lot of my own painting but my eyes now aren't what they used to be. I'm definitely intrigued enough to want to know, and see, more {sm3}:salute::.

From the reaction I got on the TMP forum probably collectors.Wargamers like to do things themselves and many are excellent painters plus they really don't like to spend a lot of money.:rolleyes2:.I collect 28mm for a project I have and spend $8 for a standard paint job and $20 for premium so CS's prices aren't that bad at all.I collect FIW (Ft.William Henry is my project)so like Larry I would LOVE to be able to get my figures already painted. From what was said earlier in this thread I believe the next line will come from CS's existing ranges.

The TMP website has a thread going and a member has posted some photos taken at a recent convention...

For sure both sides will love it. There used to be two hobby stores in town, where you can play. But there is none now.
I guess an example of the internet, over taking small town businesses. I just know that if these were there, people will get hooked.

I have to ask this, how much are the TMP people paying for a 28mm figures? I used to paint miniatures. The cost of the minature plus the paint. Not to mention the work of filing down the mini, basing it with paint, brushes, flock for the base. Sealant to protect it. It is a lot of work, and doing it for over 7 years. It does get monotonous. Now with these Collectors battlefield, it is all done. For maybe my guest of few dollars to no more than $7.00 dollars per figure. And just admire the creations. And the rest of the time, playing the game, watching sports, being with my girl.... racking up brownie points ( can not have enough of those).

A lot of them have been painting for 20-30 years and still enjoy it.Like George said they are a different breed.

Jameson's models in Glasgow also stock CS.

Some years ago, my son and I were wargaming with the Warhammer 40K series( 28mm ), which has armor and such. The tanks can be 41/2'"- 61/2 " long by 3" - 4" wide. They are a nice size to play with as well as display, and I am totally buying into CS, if their pieces are sized proper within the range. Michael

I played with the Warhammer 40k, the Cadian(regular soldiers) are the same size as the 101st pieces. So its good, with that scale. I am waiting on the Stug. I think I just found a range, where if I buy one or two pieces, twice a week. Expense wise, is not that heavy. I just hope that there are new pieces, every three to four months to keep it fresh. Fingers crossed.

Further to Mitch's post about Jamieson's Models of Glasgow, if it's one and the same place then the website I looked up the other day has no reference at all on it to CS, none that I could find anyway, although they are showing some Britains figure sets

Kind regards

It probably will be I found that strange but, when I spoke to them they will order in anything you want. Apparently, they will be updating their site. I can only think that after Kenny at TB stopped stocking CS they have not got around to it.

They are a stockist though
