New Release: Steyr 1500 Command Car (1 Viewer)

As we begin shipping our PzKfwIV I thought it might be nice to start presenting the August/September releases. First up is a piece made to accompany the PzKfwIV we’re shipping, and we know your gonna love it! The Steyr 1500 Command car.

This Austrian built car was built by Auto Union and about five thousand of these vehicles were ultimately produced during the war. Used from the East front all the way to Tunisia the vehicle developed quite a reliable record and transported many commands from front to front.

Our Normandy version sports LAH insignia and has our brand new Sepp Dietrich command figure as an add on. The vehicle comes with two figures one of which is the infamous Panzer Kurt Meyer! Included in your set is a removable top: have the top up or down. All doors open and close and wheels move.

Our Winter version sports Das Reich insiginia and of course is meant to compliment the new PzKfwIV that we start shipping next week. Again with our signature removable top option. We’ve kept on adding the weathering you’ve come to appreciate, look for mud and wear as well as paint chips and the like. We think this piece will make great add-ons to our existing armor and of course these are extremely limited edition.

I like the winter version, top up with the figure in the back seat partly in shadow. It has a sinister look.

One of the most ugly truck/car the germans used but, I really like the set. The winter version looks very good and think the SS officer pose is really typical for an officer in the SS

Good lord, every time I think I've got my toy soldier budget figured out for a few months, something like this pops up (lol).

Yep, budgeting in this hobby is a no win game. I didn't even notice that it had a 'top up or top down option'...Great innovation. Can't wait for my winter Panzer IV to show up as well.

We assumed the Sepp figure could be used for both. But we absolutely will be creating more removable base command figures just like Sepp as we move forward. So this will only grow the possibilities of adding or removing various command figures as needed.

IMO the winter version of this is the best of the two releases. But, I suppose I like the winter battles best. Like the chains around the tyres also great details
