New Releases For December 2014 - The Eighteenth Century (1 Viewer)

yes Ken, the bigger the better!!!! may be 2015 will be the year of the armies by waterway....
Hi John where did you put this beautiful landing troop boat please?...Ken (and me) we are ready to happily suffer...

ooooh...I remember when John sent me that pic...I loved that thing...I think he might have backed off as it carried 20+ figures and could get really pricey...but still...I would buy one fully loaded for my collection...it's a real show piece...I hope he does get back to it...

with these XXXL canoes...we are going to need a variety of figures to fill them...

rowers...shooting...sitting idle (which would be the most versatile)...

Mike, thank you, very good news! I suggest an XXXXXXXL canoe like this...not so big of course but...!
cheers
Carlo

This was done for a model show I believe.I heard it was for sale at the time.Great work!{bravo}}

The landing barge is a very unique piece for the hobby . . . . really very nice . . .

of the 900 brought to this area...there are an estimated 300 of these sunken bateauxs on the bottom of Lake George...the inept British forces...16,000...the largest assembly of British forces in North America at that time...used this style boat to transport troops to Fort Carillion (Ticonderoga)...

if John did these...they look like they hold over 20 figures...I would buy one fully loaded...

perhaps he could market the bateauxs with a small crew and sell supplemental figures to fill on to capacity if collectors desire...

it would definitely be a showpiece!!!

agree....great piece and adding crew over time would be more economical....hopefully John will consider.

Yeah even though I'm buying only selected pieces now this would definitely be one.

Of course I would want one British and one French.I use to have a 15mm set like this from Village Green years and years ago.

Water borne transport was so important in this war I think water craft would be very popular over all.
