Very nice figures, is that a recoiless rifle??
Wayne, surely you mean as a consolation present?
Jeff
Looking more closely at the photographs that Mitch put on the forum, the weapon could also be a 7,5cm Leichtgeschütz 40, in service from 1941 till 1945. Used for the first time by the German paratroopers in the attack on the isle of Crete. This gun was also very popular with the German Gebirgsjäger. If the gun turns out to be a Leichtgeschütz, then it can be placed in practically every period of the war and in every theatre of war where German paratroopers or Gebirgsjäger were envolved;Jeff
it is a German 75mm recoilless gun-or short rifled howitzer- mounted on a light aluminum alloy carriage. Mainly used by airborne troops. Manufactured as from 1942 onwards, max range 3,000 to 4,000 yds.It could fire 12-15rpm
