it is a German 75mm recoilless gun-or short rifled howitzer- mounted on a light aluminum alloy carriage. Mainly used by airborne troops. Manufactured as from 1942 onwards, max range 3,000 to 4,000 yds.It could fire 12-15rpm

Looking more closely at the photographs that Mitch put on the forum, the weapon could also be a 7,5cm Leichtgeschütz 40, in service from 1941 till 1945. Used for the first time by the German paratroopers in the attack on the isle of Crete.This gun was also very popular with the German Gebirgsjäger. If the gun turns out to be a Leichtgeschütz, then it can be placed in practically every period of the war and in every theatre of war where German paratroopers or Gebirgsjäger were envolved;

Thanks Guy, It makes a nice change to see something a little different.

Thanks Mitch, very nice, I particularly like the pose of the standing figure. Alby

Brilliant set.
But were is the watch on the standing FJ `s left hand ? For me it looks like he would like to know, what time it is :D:D

Hadrian...

I thought the same when I looked at then first but, he is taking a clip for the Schmeisser
Mitch

Of course you are right - but a perfect soldier should be able to do both in the same time, shouldn`t he ? :D:p

Hadrian...

These new FJ sets will be making their debut at the London Toy Soldier show thru Ken Jackson at the Maison Militaire stall. Ken will have some for sale along with the Tropical FW190 and a couple of other surprises!

A quick note to also say that the HMG sets, Para 002 AND the Field Workshop Set Acc Pack 001 landed at Gunn HQ today. We plan to send all orders out next week. The HMG set is particularly nice and is sitting on my shelf now as we speak. I wanted to make sure I got a set this time as in all the excitement of previous releases I sometimes forget to put one aside for me! The Spring version is oversubscribed by 60% so we have had to chop some requests down from dealers, in order that everybody got some. If you have not placed your order I would strongly recommend that you do it soon as even the Winter version is all but sold out as well here.

Kind Regards Tom
