New toy soldier company has been launched (1 Viewer)

As for the Bavarians and TM Terrain, the earliest the figures can ship to them will be around the 15th or so, so probably right around Christmas. UK pricing when purchased from TM is 25 pounds/figure 35 pounds for standards. You can also order them direct from our US warehouse of course as well at the US prices.

As for size comparisons, the attached gives some example. The K&C figure in the picture isn't ideal because he's hunched down a bit, but at least there is some reference here. Unfortunately, it's the only K&C figure I have. I sold my collection when I started this company and picked this one up at their store in Hong Kong just to see one of their Napoleonics in the flesh (my collection was WWII). I can tell you that their cavalry seem much bigger than ours from the one figure I've seen. The infantry are bigger, but I think it's passable. It's up to personal taste obviously.

Scenic bases eh? We'll keep that under advisement. The problem for us I think is that all of our new cavalry have rectangle bases and these and the French Carabiniers would be our only ones with the scenic bases. For every person who wants things one way, there is someone else who wants it another it seems. Plus, the rectangles match our infantry bases as well. Don't forget also, that the final groundwork of grass and painting isn't completed on the artillery colonel I showed. He's something of a throwaway from the proofing process. We'll see though.

Mounted figures are generally $99.95 per figure and $114.95 for standards. There are some that could be more expensive (hussars), but not by much.

Hey Michael, if the Yankees win next year I'll do all our cavalry for you on scenic bases. ;-)

Nevermind about those Yankees for now, how bout them Knicks?! :p I wonder what the line on the Red Sox/Patriots/Celtics trifecta would have been on preason bets!

It's just wonderful to be a boston sports fan these days...twofold really because not only do we get to win, we get to watch you lose at the same time. :D

I was born in Pawtucket,R.I. obviously on the N.Y.side of the tracks. I would claim bad parenting, but only if they would have made me be a Sox fan:eek:...Michael

We should be getting some of the Bavarians before Christmas from Matt. He is trying to send some before he leaves for his well earned US vacation. We are working out what he should send us so we can cover one or two requests from our UK customers and get some samples for ourselves. It will be the quickest way we in the UK can get to see them so if you want to see some in the flesh get in touch by Monday night so we can add it to the list. Prices are £24.95 for infantry and £34.95 for the standard bearer.

My objection to the shape of your bases is that they are too wide. I like to display the attacking rank and file of the Napoleonic troops in the close elbow to elbow and shoulder to shoulder manner in which actual fought. Your bases are at present too wide; making this sort of display impossible. Please start making your bases thinner so the figures can be placed closer together. Other then that I like what I’ve seen of your new range of figures.

Thank you
