Arrived today. Nice piece, comes with thrown track option. Crew looks a little gaunt to me. Gun elevates and traverses. What do you think?

Nice model. Like the camo. Can't tell from the photos about the gauntness issue. Look ok to me. -- Al

I think they are more realistic in expression and facial feature than gaunt. Though its not a bad expression feature to have in battle worn troops. The recent issues IMO from CS have lost that initial 'shock' look but, even the first releases look good though, I know sevaral who have taken a while to come round to accepting them and probably a few who cannot.

Good point. I think the facial expressions have improved. The tank commander on the winter Tiger I bought a few years ago looks like the Germans at the end of Searching for the Lost Ark!

I got mine yesterday. It doesn't seem nearly as heavy the earlier releases. Any ideas about that?

It needed more ballast, that bothered me a bit when I reviewed the product at the factory too. Really all the products are light when made in Polyresin then we ask the factory to add ballast to give them weight ( added to the mix ). This one was just overlooked in that regard. I prefer the weight as well.

Hope that helps!

regards,

Brian

Depends on what you are comparing it to I think there is only the marder. Its not exactly the heaviest AFV mine is coming next week from the US so, will be able to give a better response on weight.

Brian just answered but, still looking forward to getting this as its one I have wanted for a while

:( Dissapointed to hear that the NEW WESPE is lighter than the MARDER IIIM? This can't happen in the Near Future Armor Vehicles! I just got the CS FALLSCHRIMJAGER Sets, and the Motorcycle ,to me is Different than the CS DAK Motorcycle? And, I think the DAK Motorcycle was made much Better Quality? The FALLSCHRIMJAGER are Nicely done Figure's; but I'm always looking forward to a Larger Frame WW2 Figure(1/25) ScAle! CIAO!

I thought the Marder was pretty heavy - surprisingly heavy for the size of the piece and a bit too heavy for my liking. There is a happy medium but I suppose it is tricky to achieve given the different sizes of each model. It needs to feel substantial, but not too heavy to place on a glass shelf with one hand among other pieces.

Have now recieved mine and you can notice the difference but, its not really something which concerns me. I will say its a great little AFV nice detail and well worth getting

I have the winter one and have it in the closet. Not even out of the box yet. I may do that tonight.

Even when blown up this is a great piece. Cheers, Robin

If you care to look at the site WWW.PANZERWRECKS.COM you will come across 11 books which I have, based on German wrecked vehicles in 1944/45. I have been collecting these, 2 a year, since 2005 and I find them intriguing to say the least. You can scroll over a sampling of the photos and you might find like me, that having the option of damaged vehicles that CS are offering, allows if you are that way inclined, to duplicate scenes from actual real events. I have suddenly become a big fan of CS as their vehicles not only have great detail, but some flexibility, unlike other makers where nothing moves on the vehicle. Can recommend these books, 97 pages, photos on every page, with rare & unusual vehicles, that I hope the CS creative team might get inspiration from. Cheers, Robin.
