Those Mamluks are superb! While I would expect nothing less from First Legion, these pics show an amazing amount of detail paintwork. They will be very impressive on release.

I can't speak for JJD as I've never looked up the skirt of any of their highlanders, however, i have a photo looking up the skirt of ours...i'd post it, but I'd no doubt pickup infraction points as the "equipment" is all there (and rather well sculpted I might add) and thus it could be deemed inappropriate for this family forum!

I agree , the detail in the sculpt of the Mamulks is something else , and the painting is not too shabby either :):) With every release First Legion just continue to pull farther away from the others in the Matte category . Just another release that shows what true value for money is all about ;) All the best my friend . Gebhard

These Mamluks are aboslutely amazing .... my Templars will have someone to fight in 2011 :D:D:D

The designs on the shields and armour are amazing

Great looking Highlanders. The u'mmm "gesture" pose is rather interesting; gotta love those lads.:p:D
 
MG 34 team is already ordered but, as I only have the grey panzer III and don't intend to buy another I don't think they will match

regarding the German tank riders, will it be possible to put them on a tank like the earlier tank riders ? I mean: without their bases ?

Of course. They will be made available with their bases as individual figures and without their bases as tank riders in 2 x 2 figure sets....
