EXPADTIONARY FORCE will be launching their new WWII 1:32 / 1:30th line shortly!
They sent me about 10 photographs this morning!
SUPER AWESOME SCULPTS of GERMAN & US Infantry.

I will post the photos shortly, but this is what they wrote me.
Scott (I assume is the Owner/Director) wrote this report to me today!

Nov/Dec 2014 – 60mm (will blend with TSSD) WW2 Germans & Americans
There will be German & American troops, focused on platoon level actions with infantry and appropriate support weapons.
Battalion-level and mechanized models to follow as supplementary sets.

For the US. & German infantry sets, there will be an:
*officer with pistol/sub-machine gun (2 poses)
*squad leader with sub-machine gun (2 poses)
*6 riflemen (6 poses)
*One light machine gunner
(9 models in total)

For the Support Weapons sets:
*Officer with binoculars,
*Medium machine gun team (2 )
*Mortar team (2)
*Anti-tank bazooka team (2 )
*Sniper, and a flame thrower
(9 poses total)

Both the Germans and Americans will be released at the same time, plus appropriate support weapons.
As for late war Germans in smocks and GI in winter clothes, they will be planned for in due course.
I'm actually itching to do US Marines/British Commonwealth vs Japanese first.
British and other troops will be introduced as the range expands.

THAT is EXCITING NEWS!!!

Thanks for the update. Please let us know when these are actually available. Glad to hear that they are looking at compatibility with TSSD-sized figures.

I have 10 great photos to post, how can I go about doing it?

Plastic General

Why don't you do it in video format like the one you whipped up with the robot and the tin foil cannon balls or whatever those were, then download it onto YouTube for the whole world to see, then post a link to it here?

If those figures are nearly as good as the samples then these are going to be great sets! Let's hope we see some soon

I wonder if these new guys will have interchangeable parts
like the ACW have
.

Awesome! Germans with field caps and an MG team that's not prone - two features I've been looking for!

Very ambitious releases, **** good sculpting too!
Kind of reminds me of the good old days of CONTE.
The subject of German & US infantry has been beaten to death, BUT these guys, are taking it to places where no one has gone before.
Two man mortar teams! Three man MG teams ect! WOW!
I can't wait till they start tackling more exotic WWII subjects!
EXPEDITIONARY FORCE could be the dream company collectors of ALL PERIODS have been waiting for!

Don't know if this has previously been stated but these are slated for release in December and they have plans to expand the range to include figures for the desert campaign in Libya and the Pacific. All very exciting.

And by the looks of their SUPPORT TROOPS?
When they finally tackle the JAPNESE, I'll bet they do them justice with a much needed MORTER TEAM and a TYPE 92 Cannon and ART. Crew?
(does Spell-Check work on this site?)

Even if they don't do the field gun a 90mm mortar and crew would be nice, plus a decent "woodpecker" 7.7mm medium machine gun with that funny tripod and crew. The Japanese have not been well served in plastic soldiers. Even though they went to war with basically WW1 armaments, they got good use out of them.

For the Pacific Americans I wonder if they will be brave enough to do Army troops instead of Marines? The Army in the Pacific Theater outnumbered the Marines and actually did more assault landings but the toy soldier market hasn't shown much interest.

Looks like some more nice WW2 figures. Love that there will be weapons teams. Look forward to when they do the late war G.I.'s and Germans. Hope that they do weapons teams with them. The only things I wish they would have done was make them more gritty looking, like guys that have been in almost constant combat for two or three weeks with little rest, no change of clothes, ect.. Maybe they will do that weth the late war troops. Like that they look like they are not wearing packs, as those were left behind when they went into combat.
Also look forward to the Marines, Japanese, and Commonwealth troops(Chindits?).
Looks like we may be swiming in WW2 figures from X-force and other makers for the next few years.{sm4}
