One could, for example, say the same thing about Napoleon's army, and yet... it still works...
From the moment an army demonstrates diversity in units of all types with a vast array of themes within it, one shouldn't be surprised that its development continues indefinitely over time...
TM is absolutely right to include its brand in this market because there is real potential...
If one also wants more specific or even elite themes, a certain level of profitability is necessary, which can only be achieved with the support of highly attractive themes.
TM is also right when it targets German cavalry, and it will be a pinnacle of creativity if they make a Handschar Feldgendarmerie cavalry!
Who has made Handschar cavalry figures?
Until now, and since 2002, the rise of K&C, who has produced this theme???
No one... Neither K&C (except for infantry figures), nor JJD, nor Britain, no one....
Furthermore, it would be rather specific, even elitist... The Handschar is little known...
Certainly, but if brands explored every branch of the German army, there would still be many years of production solely focused on that.
That's good for the German fan club, but less so for those who would also like Allied figures and tanks.

What a waste of Team Miniatures talents...more nazi ss thugs. Ya right, just what the hobby needs.

Thomas Gunn have done quite a few German cavalry figures in winter and summer attire. I will see what the previews look like before committing.

German cavalry has been produced by most brands... (TG but also K&C (20 years ago!), War Park also made some beautiful SS riders that are perfectly compatible with TG's, by the way...). As for Handschar cavalry, I challenge anyone to show a Handschar rider, regardless of the brand... that's why I hope TM will choose innovation (it still exists in this theme) rather than a new approach to German riders, even if they represent Florian Geyer!

But I know I'll buy them because the quality of their horses and riders is excellent... far superior to K&C, TG, and WP, and at least equal to JJD and FL... I also hope that TEAM MINIATURES will read our discussions and that they will influence their cavalry direction...

To ideologize historical figurines based on their theme is completely misguided.
It's like assuming a collector of fine Bordeaux wines is an alcoholic. Whatever the theme, it shouldn't be judged because its sole purpose it's historical accuracy and the pursuit of historical precision.
Otherwise, we might as well criticize too the American army against Native Americans or the British army against the Zulus. None of this makes any sense. Collecting figurines is first and foremost a pleasure, whatever the theme. Let's avoid making rash comments that spark unnecessary and inappropriate controversies.

Well we shall see what TM does but this is the first time I am not excited by the proposed release. But others will be and that's what is great about our hobby, something for everyone 😊.
