A few months back, this item was on eBay via Rodney and it probably came from the C Harris collection that was up for sale a while back. Anyway, someone won it finally.. Lucky fella..

Just want to share the nice repaint from the pictures in the listing. Very nice customization in terms of weathering, mud and rust spots. It is not a flat one tone repaint.

Chris ,

Now that is one nice repaint ! Is that Prinz Eugen Division ? I know they used alot of captured French AFV's for partisan duty !

I bought one of these from a collector for less than he had paid for it. It was not for me as I was really just going to pass it onto Bob (Fitzgibbon) - at no profit to me because I am just that kind of guy. I opened it when I got home and was going to have a look at it. I took one glance at it and closed the box because I knew if I took it out I would keep it.

A lovely model and a nice paint job!

Jack,

You bad boy, you beat me to the bid... Lol. Just kidding, in case it was on eBay.

The minute the bid closed, I took the photos for the memories. It was what we call a "squeezing the ba..s" moment because the final price was not high. And you can also imagine how much it was probably bought for from the original owner for this listing.

Thks,Chris

No - he lived a few streets away and I saw an ad in the local paper. Given your own reaction to placing a bid I wont be on Ebay anytime soon!!

If this was from Chuck's collection, my guess is that it was painted by Alex Prieto, who is a member here but hasn't posted in eons. Alex did a lot of reprints for many people and at one time Treefrog was selling his repaints. He's very talented.

Is this actually from Alex prieto or from Razor something or other (apologies just can't recall his forum name) he has painted a couple for Wayne and, it looks like his style?

Mitch,

Not sure it's Alex's but I remember Chuck telling he that he was going to have or had had Alex do some work for him.

When it was originally advertised in the for sale section under C Harris collection, this piece was described as repainted by Alex. Unfortunately, photos for this piece were not made available even when requested. I believe most of the other familiar items in the list were picked up by forum members. Some overseas forum members had poor response for their last few purchases, such as missing figures, and hence, stayed away from making further purchases.

As mentioned, the last remaining items were finally liquidated to a dealer, who then released them on eBay. The items that suddenly came out at that point was consistent with the final remaining items. Hence, this piece is Alex's work.

My bad.

The repaints advertised.

FOB010 (custom painted by Randall Malone, Cutting Arrow Customs)
BBA011 (custom paint by Alex P)

It is still showing under the very last entry in for sale section archive.

Cutting Arrow does great stuff as did Alex. For anyone interested in having Alex do a re-paint and I have no idea if he still does it, send him an email through the Forum. His TF name is Alexdakar.
