The boat has 25 figs plus 3 man Gatling gun, there will be an anchor and chain, nameplate on deck housing, the figure shovelling coal will be painted! The picture has a few 24th Regt which will actually be replaced by similar figures in red tunics but as Scots Guards or, if preferred, Royal Marines.

Info on boats:-
Decks are made from individual planks glued in, not just from a sheet of wood
Boat made totally by hand, all wooden railings individually pieced together.
Size 36 inches long and 8 inches wide
Ready to go, cost would be £1125.00.
Only made 2 so far this one and similar with wheel.

Info posted for Mike Norris at Little Legion, please contact him direct by email mike.littlelegion@googlemail.com or phone 02920704331

Cheers

Martyn:)

No Lawrence, unfortunately mooring is very limited on the Thames at the moment:D

The two boats will be available to buy at the London Show from Mike at LL

Hello Martin,
Thank you for posting pictures of this great boat. This boat looks very well designed and I would prefer it "staffed" with Royal Marines as well. I liked a gray boiler and the planked deck in particular...
I's about Trophy "Victoria" size and just a bit cheaper that it :D
Shipping to the US would be probably another $300...
If Mike can sell it w/o a crew I would populate it with the Trophy crew ( I have an extra set for "Victoria")

Thank you Joe and Michael, I know Mike Norris will be pleased with all the positive comments his boat has received

Finally . . . a gunboat that's not top heavy! Most of the models we've see would turn turtle as soon as they're in the water.

Congratulations on another outstanding addition to the GICOP Steamship line!
Will you be getting several to recreate the Nile relief expedition? Now Mike just needs to make some whaleboats and Canadian voyageurs to complete your scene.

Hi Randy

I would love to own one or two more but space forbids it. The boat I have pictured is not mine I have posted the pictures as a favour for Mike at Little Legion.

There will be two boats in the LL range, one with a rear paddle wheel and one without. The first two boats will be available to purchase at the London Show next week, if they haven't been snapped up before.

Cheers

Martyn,

Thank you for posting the pictures. The boat looks great. Have you seen it in person yet? LL is making some great sets.

I am waiting for a shipment from Mike.

Brian.

Hi Brian

Haven't had a chance to see it yet, if it isn't sold I will take some pictures at the London Show.

Gotta agree about the great new sets coming from LL, I have some to collect that are not on the web site yet, including a Camel Corps Heliograph set and Naval Brigade:D

Cheers

Ditto on all the previously stated comments about this gun boat - just brilliant . . . . .
:) Mike

I am looking forward seeing the pictures from the upcoming London show. I hope that they will supply a correct figures for the Maxim machine gun crew: 2 NCO RM and the Egyptian gunners :D
