Martyn,
WOW, that boat looks great. How large is it?
Brian
WOW they did a nice job on that...who sculpted it...do you know...
Martyn,
Thanks for taking these, it looks superb. Just how many pennies do we need to save?
Jeff
Thanks for the photos!
Anyone know which boat this is, its name?
Donnie
Wow, that's awesome. It looks like a lot of different companies are coming out with these types of boats.
How do you think it compares to a LL one Martyn?
Thanks Jeff and Donnie.
I'm not sure of the name, but it does have a close resemblance to the "Bordein", the name will be confirmed when the set is released.
Sorry you couldn't make it Jeff, there were a lot of people missing including a few dealers
Cheers
Martyn
Martyn,
So am I but thanks again for the photos. This looks very similar to the one in the film Khartoum.
Jeff
Btw, do you know the poxy trains are still not working.
Thanks for the photos Martyn. From the London Show
The Nile Gun Boat, available for delivery this time next year, save up your pennies
Cheers
Martyn
Thanks for the photos Martyn.
Thank you very much for taking all of these great photos of a fabulous looking gun boat Martyn. Although I keep trying to discipline myself to just ACW, this particular model may have to be added to my collection. I wonder what this would look like steaming up the Potomac River manned by a crew of stalwart Confederates?
Mike
Last night at the Britains event I had a nice long chat with the sculptor, Allan Colclough (he did the Rorke's Drift storehouse, the Durbar building, and the Civil war farmhouse). It's a fabulous piece! The rust on it looks perfect.
Amazingly, the model is made mainly of foam. It doesn't weigh all that much. They are still working out some production details before we see a finished product.
Glad to see that you got to the show Martyn without a problem an along with those who commented on the Nile Gun Boat thanks for the photos of it an sharing them with us. By any chance were they any new Zulu war figures being featured?
