I don't know which is more fun, to see the fantastic dioramas, K&C sets, the history or the lingo, that comes from you gents way, way, way south of Maine, USA!

Heck, I just learned Gobsmacked (which I try to toss into a conversation whenever I can,) and now we have
Donga?
Paddlepops Sticks
Stubbies?

Love it. I think I am going to head out to the "Star Trek" store this morning and try to find me a Universal Translator" to attempt to figure what you are saying! {sm4} ^&confuse^&confuse

Look forward to the next post! -- Larry

Gday Larry mate,
Thanks for the kind words. Now to translate our lingo for you blokes way North of the Southern Cross, I think pictures say it better than words, below you will find a 'Donga'(where we Bruces and our Shelias live on the job in the bush) a 'Paddlepop' and two kinds of 'Stubbies'(drinkable and wearable). I hope that helps.
Onya.

Thanks mate, I did make it out of paddlepop sticks, matches and plywood.
Wayne.

Cricky mate...what Kiwi's can't do with number '8' fencing wire, {sm4}Aussi's can do with paddlepop sticks, matches, some old ply and a VB in one hand...... {sm5} simply awesome.......can't wait for the next instalment Wayno^&grin

Just to clarify Larry, Sheilas's are not part of a donga as shown in Wayne's post below. As Wayne said, you do tend to find many in donga's out in the Aussie scrub knocking back a stubbie or 10 and having a yarn! ^&grin

A business is born........................^&grin

Wayne -

Let's bombard the other Wayne with advice and thinly veiled criticism so that he can feel like a 'real' manufacturer{sm4}{sm4}{sm4}!!

Wayne,

Building is alright, but I think there are scale issues, plus I don't really care for the paint job. Any chance of a French bordello circa 1870? What about a tank trap for my Arab/Israeli War dio?

Regards

Jack
