NOR013-NOR025 Waffen-SS for the Battle of Normandy!! (1 Viewer)

Well I'm just one dealer speaking, but I've sold a **** ton of FL VN codes, not as many as WWII naturally as there are more WWII codes in the catalog presently, plus for a long time I was Matt's sole "Show Agent", so I sold a lot then, but you'd be amazed at how popular the VN codes have been.

A lot of my customers were actually in country, so they have a connection to the figures perhaps?

And yes, they go great with the Figarti Vietnam figures...............

It just goes to show that if you make a good product, people will buy them. It was proven with FL Eastern front Russian/German soldiers and now with the Vietnam line. KC's latest Pacific Japanese soldiers were excellent. I wish I bought some. I don't know what happened there. Maybe the line wasn't expanded enough. Note, no disrespect to other manufacturers who attempted these lines in the past and their fans.

The Waffen-SS are part of the WWII range so are of course consistent in size with our WWII figures. The Vietnam range is a totally different range with a totally different sculptor so Vietnam will be consistent with Vietnam, WWII with WWII, Napoleonics with Napoleonics etc... While we would of course love for every figure we ever make to be totally size consistent, with so many talented sculptors working on different ranges of hand produced products it just isn't possible unfortunately.

Hope this addresses your question. In the future if you have questions and want a quick answer, please do send an email.

Best,

Matt

Thanks mate for the reply and your answer makes a lot of sense with the same range being consistent through out. As there are no shops selling FL in my city, seeing them first hand is when you buy them. I will take you up on a email next time . Thanks Chris.

Now that's a line I hope FL tackles one day. The Pacific War would be a great line and FL would do an outstanding job depicting it. Especially if some Japanese armor is produced!

I agree 100%, but it's also the case that sometimes the better part of valor is to allow others to simply enjoy what they enjoy without having to always counter negative descriptions. If I have no interest in a line there isn't a lot of reason to take a lot of time downplaying it. People come to the forum to enjoy what they collect, not to have to constantly defend their buying choices.

If there is a mistake on a figure, by all means point it out (once, not a million times). Manufacturers have corrected things because of what has been posted here. If you don't like a manufacturers style, move on! Constant negativity only leads people to feel the need to defend their choice to buy them. People have eyes and can tell for themselves whether they like a style or not.

While I am replying to Mitch's post, this applies to everyone involved.

Just seen this, excellent post.

The GSG MP44 clone looks awesome & I'm tempted too. I reckon it'll be easier to get the rifle than the .22LR ammo to feed it-can't find ANY out here or on-line for that matter.

Hi Mike ,
I picked mine up Wednesday and I really love it so far, it weighs almost exactly the same as an Original and has a very nice feel to it making it IMO a worthwhile addition to any collection. I hear ya about the Ammo, its a sad thing and I'd like to comment farther but this isn't the place :mad:. I'm lucky though I have a very good friend locally who owns a shop and really hooks me up:wink2:.. Oh just a little FYI , GSG will be putting out an MP40 next year :wink2:^&grin .. really looking forward to getting some of these figures as well ..regards Gebhard

Wow, that's great the hear ! I was concerned it would have an 'airsoft feel' to it. MP40...yikes !

Oh yeah, the figures, awesome looking to say the least. I'm still working on the 'Stalingrad' range, but these guys will be going on my wish list.

Mine arrive on Tuesday ^&grin according to the UPS tracking number bought direct from the source :wink2:. Since FL started producing WWII figures I have always wondered what they could do with the intricate and varied patterns of camo used by the Waffen SS. From the pictures I have seen so far it looks like they have even surpassed my high expectations and I can't wait to get a closer look, these look incredible IMO. regards Gebhard

Gebs,

My figures arrive this week, too! I too can not wait to see what they look like, and my anticipation for their arrival is increasing tenfold! It will be interesting to read other collectors' opinions about the figures. They certainly look incredible in the photographs!

Alex :salute::

OK Gebs, I know you don't like taking pics but once you have reviewed your new SS sets please post a few photos for us other guys, as I will be waiting a few weeks for mine I'm really anxious to set what other collectors think of them, even though it usually follows the trend that they look even better in person then the photos I'm sure will or hope will be the review:)...Sammy

I am worried that two things will happen. I will see the pictures and even worse. My shop will have them! Because that will mean I will have to buy them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. When will this madness stop! Brad :)

Give it up Brad, you can fight the pull of the dark side of the evil Waffen SS!:) you know you want some:), time to give the ol Rebs a break and get back into WWII, all joking aside if these guys look as good as I think they will, I'm sure at some point you will have a few amongst your ranks, by the way what is the name of your toy soldier shop and location??...Sammy

It is called Gettysburg Toy Soldier. Located in of course Gettysburg :) He said he has had guys pick up entire regiments of FL or the entire Artillery piece and crew. During the 150th. He sold so much FL he had to put in a special order to refill. Although he was crazy busy. He is a good guy. Very nice. And you are right. I am sure I will pick up some of the Waffen SS. :) But I still like those Stalingrad Germans too!
