We are also pleased to present a 2nd version of our US 75mm M4 Sherman Tank. This second variant - the "Hurricane" - allows collectors to put together larger displays when used in conjunction with NOR047 to have two different looking tanks from the 2nd Armored Division. This variant has been kitted out with a great deal of added stowage, realistically modeled with rope holding the pieces in place. Also, listening to the feedback of our customers, we have opted to sell the crew figure separately as set NOR049 US Tank Commander. NOR048 Sherman "Hurricane" ships with one half bodied crew figure for either of the front hatches. NOR049 US Tank Commander can be used with either NOR047 or NOR048 Sherman tank variants. We certainly like this new rendition!

NOR048 US 75mm M4 Sherman Tank "Hurricane" - 2nd Armored Division $299.95
NOR049 US Tank Commander $59.95
Shipping Late February 2014

NOR048 Features:

- Highly detailed and accurate mixed media model
- Comes with 1 half figures for front hatches
- Turned Aluminum Gun Barrel
- Opening and Closing top and front hatches
- Fully Rotating turret
- Gun barrel raises/lowers
- Various stowage (non-removable) on both the front and rear hull decks

Very nice additions to the WWII Normandy line, Matt! Just in time now that "Fury" is out on DVD. I am still trying to complete the 101st Para's before I add some of the Waffen SS. And then there is my main line of American Civil War. Ugh...the struggles you put forth for us collectors. Haha! :)

I'm liking this tank set up better then the first, love the supplies, driver, glad that we as collectors have a choice of a buttoned up tank/supplies opened driver or the first with the gunner in action...Sammy

I bought the first Sherman tank, looks like I will have to buy this one also. Looks good with the extra stowage and I like the new commander figure better. To be honest I do not like the commander with the first Sherman he does not even stand on the tank properly at least not on mine.

According to FL, the commander fig was made to be slightly on the side of the turret, firing up. Chris

I really like the storage gear configuration they've created to go with what's just a great looking tank.

Jag- Are the crew "removable" on the sherman? Also, are the faces the same on the two drivers in front? I really want that tank, but i have to justify the high price..

I believe they are removeable. These are probably some of the best Shermans ever made.

Hi,

Yes, they are removable on the Sherman, and the two crew unfortunately have the same faces.....

I was planning to postpone my Sherman purchase but this new version is simply too good. I've ordered the tank and commander,

Expect to see a "France" scene once I get my hands on this.

Yep, this one sold me into buying. The Stowage with rope is real great. And the specs written at the side of the tank is a nice touch. Definitely made it easy for me to decide. I can hardly wait to get this.

Yea I want to buy this one also. I have the first, wish in a way I waited for this one instead...... but it does look good with the extra detail and stowage .

Looks like this is in stock already in the FL web site, pretty soon Treefrog will have it. I am so stoked. I really like this piece. I hope the 4th division gets announced this month. So I will already know what I will get next month. :smile2:

Just for my sanity, isn't there suppose to have two hatches on top?

You are not insane. ^&grin The early turret design had just a tank commander's hatch. The later turret design also had a Loader's hatch.

The FL Sherman is an M4 version and had only a single turret hatch.

Here is what the two hatch version looked like.
