We have long been requested to turn our figure making talents to WWII British Airborne and we are pleased to announce that we have now done just that! We have created 13 wonderful sets featuring the elite of the British Army with wonderful sculpting and painting, particularly on the "denison" smocks which are the iconic visual signatures of British Airborne in the 2nd World War. The figures are designed to part of our Battle of Normandy range and as such are nominally the 6th Airborne Division which took part in the D-Day landings most notably at Pegasus Bridge, Merville, and Breville to name a few. However, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to use these same figures as double duty as the 1st Airborne Division during Operation Market Garden as well and they were designed with that battle very much in mind as well. These are some of our favorite figures that we've created for our WWII range so we really hope you enjoy them!

NOR053 British Airborne Lieutenant with Sten $69.95
NOR054 British Airborne Standing firing Enfield Mk 1 $69.95
NOR055 British Airborne Corporal Advancing with Sten $69.95
NOR056 British Airborne Walking Wounded Vignette $139.95
NOR057 British Airborne Prone Loading Piat AT $69.95
NOR058 British Airborne Sergeant Firing Sten $69.95
NOR059 British Aibrorne Kneeling Firing Enfield Mk 1 $69.95
NOR060 British Airborne Running with Enfield Mk 1 $69.95

Absolutely outstanding in every way!!!! the detail is spot on and with a very good variety of poses to use in all types of settings, congrats to First legion on a job well done with these fine mates!!!:)...Sammy

These look superb and well worth the wait - all we need is a 1/30 Pegasus Bridge!! Congratulations on getting the Bren gunner position correct (an improvement on the 8th Army figure).

These look really nice. The camo looks amazing. The poses are more fluid and realistic than prior WW2 releases. There are some improved facial sculpts in this batch too....overall all an improvement in that dept. It's amazing how wonderful a military miniature can look when the weapons are scaled proportionately.

Joe

Will be adding these to my collection as soon as I complete the Iron Brigade. :)

Now that I have finally made it home from work to enjoy viewing these great sets I think I will go with 055, 062 as my first few sets, they are all great looking but those 2 stand out to me...Sammy

They do look good and the facial sculpts are a lot better but unfortunately as are all the other FL figures, the prices are way to rich for me. A single figure from below will almost set me back close to $95 AUD!

As with you Tom the price of FL has always been a issue and when you add postage well the value is just not there, as for the facial sculpts....well can't say I'm a fan, but that's just IMO.

They look fantastic and I've ordered three to start, plus one of the new Wild West Cavalry.

My order is placed.:smile2:...I will agree that at $70 per figure they are a bit pricey indeed.... but I need some of those "red berets" in my WWII collection.:wink2:.....They look to be very well done.:salute::

A quick question for Rob.....what's your take on the new First legion Paras???...Sammy

They look good to me Sammy , I do like the poses a lot. It's a shame size wise they won't fit with mine, but on the other hand I am thinking of putting some FL/WB in my WW1 diorama for depth of field behind K&C/ JJ. ...so you never know .

I plan on grabbing a few in Chicago, I'm in the same boat as you are a bit, I recently picked up some really nice Honor Bound WWII winter Germans which are a bigger then my FL Germans, but as some suggested using them for depth in the background and after a few minor adjustements with some ruins/trees the diorama scene works pretty well together with both companies.

As far as the new Paras they look very well done, might be time to call on David for a small Pegasus Bridge dio!!!! :)[h=3][/h]

....almost here. I really like this figures, I will be getting at least 9 figures. Been wanting to start up an Arnhem collection. Have not bought anything on this scale since the first Roman releases early this year. Maybe it will re- lit my interest In buying these figures again.

Well, I got 3 more of these figures for my B-day, plus a few more Zulu's. I do like both ranges a lot. But these Airbornes, I really do like how they look, I am thinking about getting every single pose. ... And will do that... Not unless the Normandy Stug finally shows up at last, then that will be the one I will be getting

I was thinking of buying a few of the British Paras. Can you post some photos.
