Normandy Panther WS072 (1 Viewer)

Anyone wishing to see a good movie based on the Battle of the Hurtgen Forest check out "When Trumpets Fade". An excellent WW2 movie that not many people have heard about.

Yes a very good movie I have it in my collection.I had to buy it in region1(usa) as you can't get it on region 4 for Australia. Thanks for multi region dvd players.I also bought Combat series 5 in colour and that takes me back when I was a kid watching it with my dad.Cheers Simmo.

Frank, thanks for the info. Can you provide a short list of the references you used?

Hey Oz,

The bulk of this came out of the new Fedorowicz title:

Fire Brigades
The Panzer Divisions, 1943-1945

http://www.jjfpub.mb.ca/fire_brigades.htm

I can't say enough about the quality of this book. The amount of information is outstanding and it is based on actual situation reports so the quality of the data is high.

I augmented this with cross references to the net.

Frank
