Guy, Very nice ! Also spotted one of the new Paratroopers .

Gary this time I did it as follows:
the figures are attached to their base by one or two metal pegs. I separate the figure from the base ( see pics) I keep the bases . Drill a hole in the pavement or the road and glue the figures in place. It's as simple as that. Separating the figure from the base must be done very carefully and it's a time comsuming effort if you want to do it right without damaging the figure .

This is looking great Guy. Very nice work and I like the way you've removed the bases from the figures.
 
I like the baseless figures, and the ground detail, debris, grass between the cobblestones etc is superbly done. Nice work!
