The night shots are particularly interesting. I'm reading Joe Maxwell's WW1 memoir at the moment and he's written a lot about night patrols and the flares that both sides used.

Wonderful shots and dio, Jack. I also really like the night shots with the starshell exploding in the overhead. The dead trees are iconic of so many WW1 pictures and set the atmosphere for the trenches. -- Al
