WOW363 Yak-1 Fighter

The Yak-1 fighter can rightly be considered as one of the fighters that formed the backbone of the Soviet air force during WW2. First flown in 1940 it was ordered into production 1 month after its maiden flight! Subsequent improvements to the design totalled 8000 amendments in the first year, 7000 in the second year and a further 5000 in the third year!
However it was a solid design and was better than the Messerschmitt Me 109E in the rate of climb but slower than the F variant, its main adversary during June 1941. Some 92 were in service on the western military districts when the Germans invaded in 1941, most of these were lost on the ground during the German surprise attack.
As the Soviets geared up for war production, some 7000 Yak 1's were produced with production ending in 1944. A further 30,000 Yak's were produced in different variants as the war progressed, making it the most produced fighter aircraft of all time.

In the hands of an experienced pilot the Yak could be a formidable adversary for the Luftwaffe's pilots and the Soviet Union produced many notable Aces flying this machine. Our 1/30 scale version is one flown by Captain Pavel Chuvelyov an Ace with 7 confirmed victories and a further 5 group kills to his name.
This model retails at $650 plus postage, the figures and accessories are shown for display purposes only.

WOW360 De Havilland Vampire

The De Havilland Vampire started as a design as early as 1941, it was the RAF's second operational jet fighter after the Gloster Meteor. The RAF procured the type as an interceptor and air trials began in 1944, by 1945 the Vampire was starting to roll off the production line but missed combat service in WW2 by a matter of weeks. However it saw plenty of action later on in Suez, the Malayan emergency and the Rhodesian bush wars. An RAF Vampire did lead the RAF victory parade flight over London in June 1945.

The Royal Navy also selected the design and named it Sea Vampire, it was the Royal Navy's first jet aircraft.

The Vampire was the first jet aircraft to cross the Atlantic narrowly beating competition from the USAAF who were at the time trialling F-80 Shooting Stars. The Vampire was exported to several countries including Canada, Australia, Indo, Rhodesia, Switzerland and India amongst others.

Our 1/32 scale model measures 29.5cm (11.8 inches) in length and 37.5 cm (15 inches) in width. We have 2 models available priced at $699 plus shipping, comes with free RAF pilot relaxing in deck chair and fuel drums. Our model comes in the markings of a 15 Sqn aircraft operating out of RAF Odiham. There will be no further variants of this model please note.

Dear all, welcome to our November 2021 Aircraft newsletter featuring a new selection of our latest warbirds. This newsletter is a little different as its a selection of very limited warbirds as opposed to our normal offering of 3-5 planes. Our next main shipment is due end of the month with some ultra exciting arrivals but here are some ideas to whet your appetitive until then.

Also a big thank you to Mark Dyer with his assistance in the research and development of these models, it really has been invaluable. We could not do it without you Mark!

All our aircraft now come with their own stands and can be displayed in flying mode if required.

WOW120 SM.82 'Il Duce'

This is a special one off offer for a very unique plane, with only 1 available in stock. We have made several Junkers 52 transports for various personalities but never one for Mussolini and we therefore it was decided 'Il Duce' should have his own.

This 1/32 scale model comes in the form of a 1930's SM.82 airliner as it would have appeared during that period in the livery of Italian Transcontinental airlines. This stunning aircraft comes in a Ivory gloss finish and is one of the most eye catching pieces we have made. She measures 72.5cm (29 inches) in length by 92.5cm (37 inches) in width.
Only one model available worldwide!

This model is supplied with everything as per the pictures, this includes the 2 x K&C figures, the Topolino staff car plus the display mat and is priced at $1600 plus shipping.

Super looking warbirds! That Yak 1 Fighter is a beauty and if I wasn't spending all of my allowance on the Amerika bomber, I would certainly add this fighter to my collection.

Really breathtaking productions, the whole lot. Just really beautiful. Congratulations TG on continued stellar creations and to anyone lucky enough to land one of these gorgeous pieces.

I agree on the Yak, but for me the Vampire is outstanding. You need to do more chores or get a bigger paper route to increase your allowance. The pictures of that AmeriKa Bomber were impressive, i have 14 TG planes, but would really like the Sunderland, that is one hell of a big bird.

Dear all, A couple of news items for review since we sent our newsletter out on Friday:

1. All items have now sold out, thank you for your support.
2. The Yak-1 was incorrectly described as 1/30 scale, it was in fact a 1/48 scale custom model for a customer. We will not be offering this model elsewhere in the future in any scale please note.

Best wishes the Gunn Team
