;) I'm sorry to see the FJ's being Retired; hope to get the entire set soon; but, possible Andy, will look into the TUNISIA FJ's, much Different Uniforms, or maybe Adding Herman Gorings,Lufwaffe FJ's? :cool:CIAO!

I think Andy said very recently no more FJ's in near future,he has other stuff to make.

He seems to be tiring of paras, both German and American. Hope British aren't included there but it might be.

Sorry but based on what I know I don't think that's in the offing but with Andy never say never....

Mate, the diff is that the baseball thread has just been put in the wrong place and will probably get moved. What you've done is suggested a load of Nazi stuff you want in someones elses thread. We were talking about FJ's/Paras not German subs.I'm sure you didn't mean it to,but it comes across like you just don't like people talking about FJ's/Paras so you posted a load of your 'wants' all over it.As I say I'm sure you didn't do it on purpose mate.

No mate what im saying is Andy said no more para,s but these are going to be released so there will be a wait, thats all but i get your point "Sorry"...;)

Hi Guys,

Since it appears that you all have resolved the issue here I would say its fine to discuss whatever you want in this thread since the topic of the thread lends itself to branches and sequeals in regards to potential series or sets to replace the FJ series. If this is ok with you I will leave the thread alone if not then I can certainly move the posts to a new thread or delete them.

Rob,

I understand British paras are coming out in 2010 but after that who knows. Maybe Andy will want to take a break on those.

Yep,of course you never know.Hopefully though as Arnhem is still a pretty recent series there may be more legs in it yet.

If Andy were to make more FJ's I think I'd like them to be for the Bulge theatre. This would be something a little different and very welcome.

I like the marketing strategy K&C uses. They leave a series for awhile to allow collectors to "catch up", afterall these figures are expensive. It also allows us to pursue other lines in the meantime, collect retired pieces, and allows K&C to improve the sculpting/painting etc. If they made everything in big batches all at once I wouldn't have the monthly dispatches to anticipate every month..........and that is honestly a big part of the fun.......the anticipation of what's to come! I'm certain FJ's and a whole host of other series will reappear in the future. We collectors just need to be patient and perhaps enjoy what is before us a little more.

Cheers
CFM :)

Is it possible the FJ's were dropped due to the recent flurry of Thomas Gunn FJ's that hit the market since the summer? I figured that had something to do with it (saturation). I have the Crete FJ's from K&C, but had been putting off on some of the newer ones, as many of them were simply re-paints of the Crete releases, but with tropical colors. Newer sculpts and/or Normandy/late-war FJ's probably would have been better, but they've now been done by another manufacturer.

I think you've hit the nail on the head.
I haven't got all of the second (tropical) wave of FJs, as a fair few are repaints and I suspect there wil be others like me. This may have led to a luke warm reception when this second wave was released.
I also suspect that Normandy FJs, or winter FJs may have faired a little better.

Absolutely agree, also no producer can make everything all the time. They will return one day I'm sure.I've a feeling 2010 is going to be one of the best years for K&C WW2 collectors,we already know D Day and Arnhem are coming!.:):):)
