Well, my friends, you've done and gone it now. I joined the forum planning to focus exclusively on the K&C Napoleonics and Crusade series. Unfortunately, I allowed myself to read a bit here and there about the other manufacturers and lines but told myself I had no interest. I deviated a bit here and there but managed to stay away from one of my major interests: WWII. After all I already have quite a fair number of diecast WWII aircraft and armor in my collection.

Last night I found myself perusing the threads and someone mentioned how much they liked the winter Hummel. Hmmm, I thought, I have a fair amount of 1/32 - 1/35 diecast armor but I don't have a Hummel so maybe I should take a look since it is retired.... and now I have one on the way.

I appreciate your input and comments but you really must try to contain your enthusiasm as there are weak-willed individuals about whom you simply must take into account!

Hi Eric,

:D:D:D

Enjoy the journey!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat ;)

Hi Eric, sorry about that ;) :)

If it makes you feel any better I recently joined the 'Nappy Brigade' having done a swap to gain two Delprado/K & C items. Wellington on his gray horse Copenhagen and a Mounted French Cuirassier.

Both are terrific pieces and I can recommend Delprado to those like me that only want a taste of the Napoleonic era.

Welcome to the lost cause Eric!;).We are all drifting in the lifeboat of choice, swept by the undercurrant of desire, threatened by the storm of financial ruin!!......my god, where did all that come from!:D

I agree with you re the Hummel.Lots of people on here told me how good it was and i should get it,really glad i did too, excellant model.

well Rob

Have you gone & done it with the Sgt Everts set ? Some of us think more Napoleonic cavalry is coming over the rise ... and the Scot Grey, wonderful and good looking they maybe, could be a candidate for retirement.

Now you are just trying to frighten me OD!!!:D.I really hope they are not charging off into the Horizon just yet,but as you say who knows?.I must get 'Seizing the Colours' first, but its hard to deviate from my collecting plans.I understand K&C UK get it back in stock on Monday,so it won't be an issue at the show on Saturday.Joking aside i find it very difficult to decide what to buy,i really admire people who have the discipline to stick to one or two ranges and not deviate at all.I just can't do it.

I have the sneaking suspicion that the Scots Greys are on the way out as well. I ordered another two the other day which only leave two to go and I hope the trend of falling/dead cavalry selling slowly continues so I can pick it up in a few months. So many goodies to choose from but summer is already expensive with my boy's sports and vacation and.....

"Seizing the Colors" was my first K&C Napoleonics purchase - you won't be disappointed if you do pick it up. Fantastic!

Eric

Welcome to the "I came to forum as a Napoleonic Collector and got brainwashed into WWII " Club. ;)

My K&C budget doubled after Rob and Friends worked me into the dark world of WWII. Now Winter Germans and AK Germans are fighting for space with the Grand Armee !

Tis a sad collection of weak willed men - but we do enjoy it. I am reconfiguring my office to make room for the new items. Funny, I thought moving to figures would give me more space but it didn't work out. :D

What i love about 'Seizing the colours' is that it would make a great place to start a Nap collection and would be easy to build around.(Brit/French cav and inf etc.)
