I would paint the helmets darker so they wouldn't blend in with the tank and maybe buy a cheap Tamiya 1/35 figure kit to use the helmet decals.

I was thinking of brass or pvc tubing for the barrel. I have a train shop near by that has all kinds of building stock. Going to build that crane for the Sturmtiger with parts from there as well.

Yeah I will do that. Good idea on the kit. Saw some decals on the TS&MF mag too.

Someone did that one already LOL I am going to cut th barrel down and the box off . But, what is it? This started life as a Firefly.

Britains detail had a jeep back in the 70's with a guy standing in the back holding on to a 50 cal..... he might make a good kelly..there are some used ones on Ebay from time to time

I was looking at the Conte plastic figure with the cigar in his mouth and two machine gunes. Your idea might be better. It is a matter of size.
