Oh such a perfect Saturday (1 Viewer)

May I get in on that? I'd like to move somewhere new and start over. Actually, I wouldn't mind at all. You know, a place like heaven, there's no question that it exists. I could take my toy soldier collection, couldn't I? :) TG collection including...of course!!!

Cheers

Enrico

Great! Last summer I was at La Spezia and Santa Margherita.
This summer I will be at St Margherita and San Remo.

Good idea!
I am only a few Km from Santa Margherita; 15 min by train. In summer, sometimes I take the train to Santa Margherita, then I walk to Portofino. Then I climb the Portofino hill to San Fruttuoso, a great walking with the seaview.(On the hill there is also a ww2 german bunker).

Of course we have plenty of room. A city centre apartment in Wellington with great bars, restaurants and entertainment - which lonely planet has rated the best small capital city in the world. Then out to our country residence in Greytown - rated the best small town in New Zealand. We will drink good local wine and beer on the veranda and put on a BBQ for you. And then you can sleep in absolute tranquillity with only the owls hooting to serenade you to sleep.

On Sunday morning we woke up to see a friendly owl considering us from his vantage point on the front veranda as we sipped our tea.

Kronprinz Toy Soldiers from Madrid are also keen to make the trip (seriously).

So come on over - I will get the kettle on!

Gary

Very scenic places...always interesting to see where members live...adds to the forum experience.

Hi Gary,

Excuse the "bump" of this post but stumbled upon it looking at your Ancient Greek/Persian collection. Loving your close-up images of a fantastic collection of TG figures, esp. the ancients. Great picturesque story-telling post with highlights of your figures. Now I'm hungry for fish & chips though.

Keep them coming; you've got a beautiful variety of figures.
{bravo}}

Thanks for the memory jerk Rob.

March 2018 seems a lifetime away. I do miss our life in New Zealand and of course Tasmania is a fantastic spot to wash up at. My wife and I are off next week touring the North West part of Tassie where we will be going on remote hikes and kayaking while staying in some luxurious accommodation and hopefully eat some good tucker!

I do miss the toy soldier collection back in Kiwiland and we shall return next year to live in the land of the long white cloud once more! And enjoy marrying together my Tassie and NZ collections. TG have the last two releases waiting to ship out while I await a large shipment of John Jenkins Designs figures to be shipped once we return from our mini break.

This is a great thread. I had taken a break from international travels, but your photos get me excited again. And the ones of the toy soldiers are not bad either.
