The old toy soldier auction of june 23, 2013 produced some amazing prices on current, available king & country pieces:
Bba024 retails for $32-, sold for $45-; bba042 retails for $33-, sold for $120-; bbg07 retails for $35-, sold for $80-; bbg025 retails for $64-, sold for $140-; bbg026 retails for $32-, sold for $80-; bbg027 retails for $32-, sold for $80-; ws173 retails for $64-, sold for $180-; plus there is a buyers premium of 23% if won thru liveauctioneers.com!
That ray haradin is one smart guy!!

I am quite shocked that some of these collectors do not do their research and just bid on existing items. The auctioneer's premium was what turned me off as it is high, being a percentage of the final price. Amazing that with so much information available on the Internet, such prices on existing available items can actually materialize.

I had planned to bid on some older Desert Jeeps (pre 2000) but forgot about the auctions. Yes, the prices usually tend to be absurd. However, sometimes there are bargains.

FYI: The K&C SAS1 JEEP (Estimated $200-300) WENT FOR $550-; The K&C SAS2 JEEP (Estimated $200-300) WENT FOR $650-

I was watching the auction as well. The K&C stuff was going for crazy prices. Some of the other manufactures were better prices. I got a few random pieces just because I liked them. I really don't know anything at all about them.
