On the road again (2 Viewers)

Your attention to detail is brilliant Guy, love the weathering on the gate and the cobblestone footpath. Your dio depicts the scene of the lass hugging the Tommy and granny watching on very well.

thank you chaps .
There is more detail behind the gate ( real coal in a heap and in several sacks)
Now I will start chosing the other figures and vehicles I will use in this street and start the weathering process of them.
The next pictures ( in a separate thread) will be of the completely finished dio
guy:)

The great detail in the distressed and flaky paint on the gates really sets it apart.

Hi Guy,

for having that very realistic look, when you paint, you put a lot of water in the brush and very little colour, doing this with different shades of the colour, right?

Poppo , I'm an "oil" man . This inside was painted using only one oil colour and applied right on the K&C base colour . The colour I've used is "Van Dyck Brown" from the brand " Rembrandt oil colours" . The trick is to use a bit of paint in the corners or the crevices and then make it fade away from the corners and crevices out to the middle.
