Yes deepest respect to all those who fought and died 70 years ago today and to all those who as a result of the fall of Singapore entered and suffered in Japenese prisoner of War camps, servicemen and civilians alike.

The 70th anniversary of the bombing of Darwin is also coming up soon so let us reflect on the brave sacrifices of so many men and women during those dark days of World War 2.

70 years ago . . . we better treasure the opportunity to meet with, speak with, and learn from the remaining WWII veterans now, because the youngest are in their 80's, and they will not be around forever.

Well said Louis, we've recently lost our last WW1 hero which was a very sad day indeed, can't imagine what it'll be like when our last WW2 vet has gone.
