Impressive mate would be a awesome day at yours having a look thanks mate for posting.

Wayne,

I have a few more K&C Dioramas I need to photograph and post.

You are welcome to come visit anytime. I haven't posted anything about it yet, but I was planning on seeing if forum members and other collectors were interested in a full weekend New York Toy Soldier Symposium, like we used to host before Larry Lo passed away, with an opening dinner Friday night, lunch, dinner and tours of collections and local airpower and armor museums Saturday, and further tours and a farewell luncheon on Sunday. If there is sufficient interest for me to make the arrangements and lay out the money, that might be a perfect time for you to visit. I always reach out to manufacturers, like Andy & Gordon Neilson of King & Country (who attended the first 7 or 8 Symposia), John Jenkins (who attended one) and Ken and Erika Osen of Britains (who have attended 4), and this time, I would invite dealers like George Guerriero, Tin Tyler and Matt Murphy who could set up shop for collectors who want to take something home.

All

I was lucky enough to see most of these dio's last year when Louis graciously put me up (and put up with me..^&grin) last year when I did my US trip. To say these look awesome in the flesh would be an understatement!!!

Tom

These are amazing. It appears I may have to make an appointment one day or swing by for a day when the symposium takes place and you open your museum up.

Thanks Louis for the invite but getting married this year so funds are zip, but one day I will

You're going to have to start taking over other rooms for your collection, Louis!

Prost!
Brad

These are amazing. It appears I may have to make an appointment one day or swing by for a day when the symposium takes place and you open your museum up.

My collection is open for viewing anytime anyone wants to come see it. Just PM or e-mail me if you are going to be in the area, and I am thrilled to give you the grand tour, take you to see other (even bigger) local collections, as well as some wonderful local military museums, like the American Airpower Museum, the American Armor Museum and the Cradle of Aviation, each within about 20 minutes of my home.

The Symposium is a wonderful opportunity for a bunch of collectors, many of whom either only know each other from on line forums, or who see each other once or twice a year at shows like the OTSN or London show, to get together, break bread, meet with manufacturers and dealers, and make lasting friendships.:smile2:

Originally, Lawrence Lo, Hans Hedrich and myself sponsored it, later Mark Hoffman (who has an unparalleled collection focusing on artillery) joined us. Back in its heyday, Andy and Gordon Neilson regularly acted as the Guests of Honor, as did the Nevilles from K&C, UK. Rick Wang from Figarti and his father have each attended. The late, wonderful, Shannon Reuss (the founder of this forum) attended the third symposium and actually stayed at my home. Later, after Larry passed, and the Symposium was reduced to a one day affair, John Jenkins and Ken and Erika Osen of Britains and Hudson & Allen have been the Guests of Honor. I am hoping that with a full weekend format, some of our overseas attendees, like Andy, Gordon, Howard Woods, and Clive Gande, and Rob Jones (UKReb) and his lovely wife will consider attending again.

As I've stated, for anyone wishing to stay in the NYC area longer than just a weekend, I and the local collectors are always happy to squire them around to the area attractions before or after the weekend. :salute::

But if I am going to make all the arrangements and foot the bill for this event, I need firm commitments from at least 20 attendees who all agree on a convenient weekend.

Here are some shots of the Airfield Diorama Gordon Built for me out of a custom RAF Control Tower he had made me, the K&C papier mache Nissan Hut, and some modeling materials we bought at Willis Hobbies, a local hobby shop, as well my Streets of Old Hong Kong Diorama and some better shots of the custom K&C diorama base, Great Wall gateway and back lot buildings that make up my Operation Market Garden Eindoven Diorama:

Hi Louis

If you get a few more of your planes airborne, you'll have more room on the ground !
Wonderful, collection you have there. Thanks for sharing !:salute:::salute:::salute::

Last two K&C Dioramas: a Parade Ground Square I picked up at the 2016 OTSN and a little Zulu War shelf diorama Gordon through together for me using the K&C Zulu War Farmhouse from 1995 and all the old K&C Zulus, Red Coated Seaforth Highlanders, and the one 24th Foot Figure K&C ever produced, a wounded officer firing his pistol over his downed horse:

I just managed to pick up this diorama hand-made by Gordon Neilson in May, 2010 (the bottom is actually signed by Gordon and dated). I am about to add some really cool classic K&C items from the '90's to my collection, and will take some photos of them on this diorama when they arrive.

These are two of the three classic K&C items I just returned to my collection, thanks to the generosity of a good friend. The third piece was the Afrika Corps version of the wood Hanomag. Photos of all three on the diorama upon receipt:

I picked up the classic K&C armor today (thanks Rich!{sm4}). Here is the Stug III on the diorama with some early K&C motorcycles and German "Chained Dogs" (M.P.'s):

Now here are the two 1996 desert Hanomags (wood and metal and resin and metal) on the original diorama from the flyer launching the Afrika Corps in 1997 along with several of the Afrika Corps figures from the original September, 1997 release:
