I talked to Ana of Honour Bound this morning, and 'the boyz' are beginning to ask, "What next?" So ....

If any of you have ideas on what you would like HB to produce, this is the place to put it.

(I'll duck out of the way to avoid the stampede .... )

Chaffee please. WWII vintage. Minus skirts.
Phew, that was easy.

Honour Bound first annouced that they would be producing specific battle scenes from history, i.e. Barkmann's Corner (wonderful models), the company now seems to be moving in a different direction with individual releases of vehicles. Now don't get me wrong, I think the various kitchens are great and perhaps something along those lines should be continued as well as perhaps some going back to the company's first concept. The retreat from Russia perhaps has something to offer in the way of battle scenes.

And then there is always horse drawn artillery, horse drawn ambulances, horse drawn supply wagons, horse drawn...well you get the idea.

I'd like to see something from North Africa, preferably 8th Army, such as a Crusader.

Also, how about a scene like the Snipe position. That would be interesting although not necessarily economically feasible. However, if you just do the troops that may be sufficient as there may be enough tanks to fill out the scene.

I would like to see one of the high end companies produce a Wirbelwind.

Tunisian Tiger, if anyone can build the best **** true 1:30 scale tiger it's Honour Bound! Don't listen to the nay-sayers, Ana, the Tiger WILL aleays sell and sell BIG and the desert is hot right now so jump in and grab your share.;) You can never have enough Tigers.

Fred

Do people want vehicles that saw extensive action - or would something like the Maus be desirable ... it would be unique (and a huge beast)!

BOMBS AWAY:

OK-here is my & hopefully other Forum Squadron Members Wish List:

Chaffee Tank from The Batle of the Bulge
M29 Weasel preferably in a Winter theme
German Wirbelwind preferably in a Winter theme
ANYTHING involving WW II Aircraft/Ground Crew, etc.

Thank You,
BEAUFIGHTER OUT

I prefer vehicles, etc. that saw some combat & were used rather than those that were prototypes or only small numbers were made. However, as always, there may be some exceptions to my thinking especially if there is a very unique item!

And the shipping would kill me!

Nah - this baby would be sufficiently large to include an internal cumbustion egine inside it so we could just drive it to your house ...

Leave some room in the garage ...

Well you asked:)

I'd like to see some more 'common' vehicles seen on the battlefield- Skdfz 251 or 250's- platforms where you can then build out some pretty interesting variations of them down the road. A new 'Barkman' quality panzer IV would be welcome (well, by me at least). Maybe a Horch.

How about jeeps representing 'The Rat Patrol' ?

At this stage I feel the wise thing would be for Honour Bound to make something that's a sure fire seller. So we are talking German vehicles guys, not some obscure vehicle that you have always wanted to see in 1/30 :D

They have already done Barkmann's (424) Panther and two other Panthers to complement it, plus a Bergepanther, and they had plans to make an infrared Panther. However I feel collectors get bored when they get to many variations of a tank in a row, so I'd ease up on Panther based products for now.

All things considered I'm with boot51 on this and feel it's time for a classic Tiger tank. An Afrika Korps version such as the suggested Tunisian version would be good. However, firstly I would like to see them do Wittman's classic (007) Tiger. I know this particular Tiger was issued relatively recently by K & C but that version is now retired and Andy is unlikely to do it again for some time if ever.

Which gives Honour Bound a golden opportunity to improve on the K & C version and ensure a big seller in 1/30. FOV recently did Wittman's borrowed Tiger (222) in a larger scale but imo (007) has always been considered the classic "Wittman Tiger" and they are sure to sell well especially with a full size Wittman figure and some crew.

Oz-
I am with you in general except for Wittman. It was a big war let's give someone else a turn. How about Otto Carius and his Tiger on the Eastern Front?

Guys, a very authentic Wittman Tiger was also just done by Figarti in the same scale as the KC one ( do not know whose scale was correct ) and HB version would be redundant and probably as expensive....How about those 8th army LRDP trucks with all the gear and weaponry. I would pay a premium for that baby in HB quality.......Michael

I happen to agree with Oz: a sure fire winner is what is necessary. That probably means something German. Wittman sells so maybe his tank at Villers Bocage would be just the thing.
