I spoke to Andy about opening a K&C dealer in Maui, Hawaii

Andy said to me without hesitation...how long you been at this? I told him a few months...you can guess the rest...just as a great businessman should have replied!...so the conversation about opening a shop was short lived the rest of the conversation which lasted about 20 minutes was terrific...I wonder if he remembers:confused:

Dear "MarkeytMaker":

I had heard some time ago that it was becoming harder to become a K&C dealer. At least a few years ago I was told by someone that a K&C dealer had to buy at least $5,000 per every 3 months or lose K&C dealership status. I guess it is easier to be a K&C buyer as long as the money does not run out that is!

I suspect there is a collector in Melbourne that approaches that expediture on King & Country. Howard mate you could get them all wholesale ;) :D

Matt mate,
You trying to get me into trouble with Brett and my wife?
Been down that road before. $5,000 per quarter, I wish.
Cheers Howard

No, never Howard ;) :D What about opening a K & C Downunder Museum, could be some tax breaks there mate  :D

anyone opening any shop in the current economic climes must need a quick examination from men in white coats

Matt & Mitch,
You are both right. I would love to become a K&C Dealer but as Mitch said the ecomony is not right in the Land of Oz. I have to keep Brett and Gerelou (Military Workshop) in food at the moment. ;) :)How could anyone who confesses to love K&C products not wish to combine a business and a hobby. Andy did.
It is my intention however, when I retire in a couple of years to convert my business premises into a "K&C Downunder Musuem" and show school groups thru and teach them a little bit about the Military History of the World.
My goal at this stage is to have a complete "matte" K&C Collection by the end of 2011. It is 94.3% complete at the moment.
Cheers Howard

Howard...

That sounds a great idea and a bit better than having all the overheads of a shop which, is prohibitive to any business starting out. I look forward to the shots of a really good museum in the not to distant future
Mitch

Folks,

When Howard says he is collecting all matte figures, he means all of them, regardless of range: WW II, Napoleonics, Ancient Egypt, SOHK, what have you.

Howard is a very ill man, with advanced OCD and when he arrives in Chicago in September, I believe some chaps in funny white coats will be there to meet and help him :D

It wouldn't surprise me if Howard is singing or will soon be singing this song :rolleyes:

Brad mate,
And loving ever minute or it!!!!!!:):) That going to cost you quite a few beers in Chicago, cobber.
K&C Rah, Rah, Rah.
Cheers Howard

Is there anyone on here who could hand on heart not say they have OCD to some extent or another. it goes with the territory methinks
Mitch
