Here's my winter Panther with zimmerit and three K&C figures. What's your opinion of the whitewash on this tank? It certainly is different from the pictures on the CS website.

Does not seem to be much whitewash used, does it? CS has used a thin whitewash on several of it's vehicles, allowing the camo colors underneath to bleed through. It still appears to be a superior piece. -- lancer

We had so many comments on the winter Tiger and winter Stug that exclaimed particular collectors desire for a less white and minty look but a more subdued white paint.

So we elected to keep moving towards that thin " realistic " look that it seemed most collectors wanted. A field paint job that would have utilized a thin paint sprayed from hand pumped nozzles.

However If a collector would care for a brighter white we can do this at the studio at no charge to the collector. Simply e-mail us with your address and information and we'll have our courier pick up the piece and then return it with desired modified white overshots.

Its our way to let the collector know that we want them to be completely satisfied with their purchase and we'll go to any length to ensure that happens. We work for you, not the other way around.

very kind regards,:)

Brian

Now THAT'S customer service! Thanks, Brian. I think I'll take you up on the offer. Thanks, JB

That is a very generous offer. I got the winter stug because I liked the model and that the top came off to show the exterior. I never did like the minty fresh look and bought it with the intention of adding my own weathered whitewash, mud and rust and probably will still do that.

I am not a winter collector, but I believe a more whiter coat would be preferable..My troops just call off the war, at the hint of bad weather..Michael

I quite liked that iced and marizpanned Christmas cake look.:D:D

I really like the look of this new version.I was one of those who thought the Stug too minty fresh and I think its great Brian has lent an ear to the thoughts of collectors on this, can't wait to seee this in London.

This arrived today:), (but unfortunately, it is part of The Christmas to me). Gotta love wish lists:D, But now the wait begins:(. but it is great to know, that if I like it a little whiter I can have it done:D. Thanks Brian!!.
But For now, the ticking of time til Christmas, will be unbearable. 32 more days:eek:

I have to say, that with the demise of Honour Bound's tank division, Collector's Showcase has stepped up to the plate, and has delivered a quality product at very competitive prices. I love the option of turning the tank into a damaged one. That is really unique!

I like the option of damaged or undamaged tracks, also the moveable hatches are a nice touch.

If someone had their Panther "whitened-up" by special request, could you please post some pictures. I too would like to do this, but it would be helpful to first see how it came out for someone else. Thanks.
