Man! Chicago Toy Soldier time, can't wait! And I've been pretty busy getting some stuff together. As you may or may not know, this is a one man outfit and so the offerings can be few and far between. I sculpt and paint these things myself -- I have the castings made here in the Midwest and so the stuff [this year] is 100% made in the U.S.A. Will also be showing some upcoming products and some work for a new plastic company, Austin Miniatures. Oh! And some of my original watercolors and, as always, free snacks and drink so stop on by Room 5220, Thursday and say hello! ~dOUg

Hi Doug,
I like the WWI trench set. Any idea when it will be available for order on your website? The tanks (especially the MKIV w/ tranch crib)and shell holes on your website look very nice as well. I wish you luck on your launch of Order of Battle, and I hope you have a great time in Chicago!

Joe

Intend to keep an eye on this site, really like the WW1 tanks, shell holes & trench. Good luck with your venture. Cheers, Robin.

Hi Joe, I only made ten of them and I want to see what kind of reception they get in Chicago. If I have any left after the show [HA! "if I have any left" that's a joke! I'm sure I'll have plenty left] I'll put them on the web proper. Why do you ask, do you want me to save you one?

Absolutely brilliant your WWI trench. Your work is really authentic.

I want one !

I bet you'll sell whatever you bring to the show Doug! It looks to be a very nice set. Have you established a price for the set yet?

Joe

Hi Doug,

Are you going to produce trenches without the Dead German and Brit, so that it can be used for other conflicts?

Hey Benjamin, not that particular trench piece but I do plan on other scenics. As a matter of fact, I have some available on my web site, but those are pretty specific as well. What are you looking for? I appreciate any and all input -- it helps me to get the people what they want! If you're going to Chicago I'd like to talk, if not, send me an email: ddearth@orderofbattleminiatures.com. All ideas welcome.
Thanks ~dOUg

Yep. $75.00 for Hitler, $100.00 for the musicians. 100% made in the USA, sculpted and painted by me!

Doug, any chance to get hold of one of the trench/Hitler unit without going to Chicago?

Thanks,
Oliver

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the info. Yes, I would like to purchase one of the WWI trench sets. If possible could you hold onto one of those for me? I can send you payment via paypal or drop a check in the mail. Whichever you prefer. Thanks again and have a great time in Chicago! Joe

Doug,

same for me, please. I would like to purchase one of the WWI trench sets. Less for you to carry to Chicago :wink2:

Paypal would be brilliant.

Thanks,
Oliver

Thanks for everyone who stopped by the room to say "hi!" I greatly appreciated it. I was rather disappointed with all you vodka drinkers out there -- I returned home with almost a full bottle. But thank the powers for you Brits who showed up as I am almost out of gin, and my German and Kentucky friends who made short work of the Bourbon. (Kentucky I understand, Germany I'm guessing it's an Old West/Karl May thing that makes them love American whiskey so much.)
ANYWAYS
Thanks again, I will post more show pictures on my Order of Battle Facebook page but for now here's the paint master for the new Rolls Royce that I will be putting out in 2013. Enjoy!

Hi Doug it was a pleasure talking to you this past sunday. You are a very talented individual. The WW1 Hitler in the trench goes great with my other sets. Can't wait for the armored cars come out. Your prints are also top notch. Please keep up the great work.

Hey Oliver,
I don't know, maybe you can help me out (I'm an art guy, not a business guy). I just did a shipping estimate with UPS to Germany (Hirschaid 96114--I picked it because that's were I stay when I go to the Nuremberg Toy Fair) and it came out to $135.36. If I'm doing something wrong or you know of a cheaper way PLEASE let me know. I admit to stupidity when it comes to these kind of things and and any help would be greatly appreciated!!! (the package would be 1 lbs. 8"x8"x8", BTW)

Hi Doug,

Great news, but $75 for shipping to Germany???

Oliver
