Ots auction... (1 Viewer)

In the end, it depends on the item and how much a person wants it. For me, I've come to the realization that you don't have to have everything and sometimes less can be more.

I picked up The Frontline Marines and Generals sets and some WW1 sets from March past. I didn't bid on staff car as I am more interested in the fighting machines.

Shucks, I was hoping it was you b/c I nabbed an ak halftrack from metal shed and was already trying to figure a trade!!!!

Anyhow, nice pickups to you!

Tom,

I was thinking Ed might have won the Glossy set too! ED...where are you? Come forth and confess your purchase^&grin

I picked up these two items in the original boxes for about $150 each...I feel I did well!

Good pickups!

Tom, I have already completed The AK and WS ranges, that is why I'm getting into WW1, If you are willing to wait I'll put in and order in with you and have Bruce make a couple for us.

I waited patiently (months) to bid on this unique K&C LAH set of glossy's on the OTS...then the terrible happened, "I lost" I told myself $800 was my max...then I bid more and somebody else still outdid/bid me...me of all people! Well whoever won this set I congratulate them on winning!

So much for me being the big bidder!!!

That was a tough one...........I was going up to $500, but to sell at $1000, well, that tells me the glossys are going thru the roof!
I won 16 lots on Sunday, mostly LAH glossy items. I was very happy to win Lot 1200 (Glossy Axis Leaders) at $400 ($66.00 per not bad), and all the glossy early LAH items except your mentioned Lot 1199.
I save considerably on shipping by having OTS ship UPS using my own UPS account. They will charge for their packing and handling, but at a much reduced rate. And Joe Saine, the shipper for the Sunday lots, is a great packer and gets the items out fast.

BK...I see that a partial unboxed LAH04 set sold on eBay tonight for $350...so getting the Axis Leaders boxed and all...pretty great deal I'd say! I won 16 lots on OTS and I'm happy with all but one auction caught me off gaurd (which is my fault for not looking close enough at the picture/description) It was the Stug with a modern figure...the plus side is the set also contained an early WS14 Commander figure. This figure WS14 alone makes it a fair enough buy!
