Ottoman Turkish Army-WWI (1 Viewer)

Great set! I had a very similar German Westfront version but have never seen or was aware of this one. -- Al
Thanks Al. It would really fit in with GA1V Landing at Anzac Cove. or GA2V "Z" Beach. Tommy

056.JPG059.JPG Thanks Hawkeye. Here is GA 13- Ottoman Turkish Standard Bearer of the Escort. Tommy

083.JPG The Escort-Sets GA 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16. This concludes my collection of "The Dardanelles Campaign 1915". I do not have set GA 11 nor a photo of "Turkish Infantry Firing Line", consisting of a Turkish Officer, 1 Private in steel helmet and 4 other Privates firing. Also recommended is DM99-Rocky Outcrop MKI and DM99A-Rocky Outcrop MKII. According to my talk with Len today these sets were to go with the ANZACS sets GA1V, 2V, 3V, 4V, GA1, 2, 3. and 4. which I do not have. Len said he made less than 15 of the Turkish and Russian sets as they were not a best seller. About 10 went to MKL in the UK and less than 5 to the US to Joe Overstreet and Trophy of Texas. Len said he thought about a "Lawrence" and Arab figures but someone in the US had just produced those. He went on to something else and never got back to these. Today's Trophy Triva: The only army produced by Trophy without the obligatory Ammunition Mule and Handler is the Salvation Army.

great pics tommy, i haven't seen all the turks mtd on camels. mike at trophy was always talking me out of getting the turks because he knew my main collection was napoleonics and he wanted me to get those that i needed why he had them. the problem was that i could never say no to the napoleonics and only got what i could of the turks when trophy stopped producing. i really wish len would come out of retirement and sculpt some more figures like turkish infantry or french horse grenidiers at waterloo. i don't think i would put another dime into matte figures if that happened

Hawkeye like you I could kick myself for not buying all of the great sets Mike had but I feel fortunate for what I did acquire. I think Len misses it and is sad that his molds haven't been used to continue his work. Tommy

if i hit the lotto, the first thing i would do after taking care of family would be to buy the molds and hire len

Dear Allison, hello from İstanbul.
how can i find those lovely Ottoman-Turkish Trophy sets? any help or advice?Cem
Cem: Trophy only made about 15 of these sets, so they are very rare. Ebay would be your best bet but expect to pay top prices. If I come across any, I will let you know. Tommy
