9 Piece Set. Limited Edition of 500 sets. "Overrun" consists of a British Ambulance and occupants in the last moments of the Zulu attack on the British army camped at Isandlwana on January 22, 1879.

Wow! A Great choice by Ken.... this should go well with the previous gun set in everyone's Isandlwana diorama. With a price of 420, I think this is good value........... The other AZW hand to hand releases were more of the same and are starting to get old real quick....Lets move on to the mounted troops so we can complete our dioramas and not use all our valuable shelf space on yet more of these hand to hand sets... Regardless well done Ken on the ambulance. With the recent exceptional K&C WW2 doctor/nurses sets; I guess the war time medical field is en-vogue this month!

WOW Mouth open right now, jaw on the desk. This is a corker!! Can't wait to get this one.

That ambulance set is absolutely fantastic! Very well done. - Also extremely happy to see more 'hand to hand' sets. These are so needed to fully capture the chaos of the final stages of iSandlwana in miniature. - Please keep them coming (Perhaps something with a w/ N. Carabiner, B.B.G., or N.M. Police).

This set looks fantastic. I will start putting money aside for this set. Now to determine a proper place for it in the cabinet: salute::

My interest in Zulu is back on track with this wagon, very very nice piece. Sort of over endless foot figures with slightly different poses, so this makes a big departure and a welcome addition. Now for the big wait. ^&grin, Robin.

Are the figures attached to the base? I hope they are not. I am getting this set either way.

I am going that Ken will bring a prototype to the show. If so I promise to take pictures.....

Outstanding. Must have for me.

oh yes its a must have alright .

I agree! I am so pleased to see this one made it! Ian Knight, Craig and I spent hours tracking down as much ambulance info as we could and the First Gear engineering team in Eddie Atkinson did a phenomenal job drawing up the plans and getting the pattern started. A labor of love for sure that I am so pleased to see Ken has brought to fruition. Well done team! Can't wait to see what is next!? Got to pick this one up.

So nice to see your post this morning Richard. I hope all is well with you . . . . .

Just goes to show how much development can go into a set! Nice to see you posting Richard.

The website is still saying August for the ambulance and I think this would be a big step for wbritains if they actually came in on time... as we are approaching half way through the month and no news either way... Anyone else excited and nervous... I think this will be one of the best releases in the AZW line based on London show prototype. I am also interested in what will come out in the next catalogue as we are almost caught up with AZW releases as the new one on one sets appear to be out... Quite a departure from a year ago when we were behind an entire catalogue ie new releases announced and previous releases still not released... not sure if production logistics has improved or britains has simply scaled back releases to get back on track....

Budgeted my money for December. If this piece were to come before that you could say Britain's have finally turned the corner after 3 years of production schedule issues. Robin.

20149 & 21048 were scheduled for August and they were released this month :) So maybe? It does say summer on the main picture so could be September ?

It does look a fantastic set , I budgeted for towards the end of the year, but I have a feeling I will need to put my hand in my pocket much sooner , with other companies entering Zulus wars it will be interesting to see what Britains have in store next to keep ahead of the game. I am also looking forward to the next releases

I saw a pre-production model of this at the WB Model Soldier Symposium that was held in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania this past weekend. Very, very impressive . . . . . AZW collectors will be very pleased with this one . . . .
