Should be a good game.

At least the England cricket fans won something this season. Former England Captain Freddie Flintoff won the first Australian I'm a celebrity get me out of here:salute::. Lucky for him he was in the South African jungle when England got knocked out of the World Cup.

At least this is a real "World"cup not like our American friends where you win the local sporting competition and your world champions {eek3}{eek3}^&grin

Yeah true Brett I think the to and from's have had there day in the sun, they need another decade to rebuild ^&grin^&grin

Now the Black Caps have to wear shoes and play at the 'G' :wink2: it's a bit bigger than the sheep pens they have played all their games at in Middle Earth ^&grin you actually have to hit a six there and not just tap it over the pen fence {sm3} Good Luck they'll need it...COME ON AUSSIE, COME ON. :wink2:

Well done Australia
When are they going to let Cricket Australia keep that Trophy and get a new one.
It seems to have spent more time in Australia than any where else so it would make sense.

I have never supported an opponent in a game of cricket but I came very close this time. New Zealand are a courageous and talented side. They deserved to be in the final but they just came up against a bowling attack that was 'on song'. Full credit to McCullum and his team. Their win against a strong South African side in the semi was one of the great one day games in an era when so many are so bland. I hope that they use this success as a springboard to even greater success in Test matches. The Australian Cricket authorities have never done NZ any favours and in fact have been woefully unsupportive by declining to play them regularly. Nevertheless. How often is it the case that the semis entertain and then the final proves to be a let down.

Congratulations to our New Zealand cousins and to a very good, but not great, Australian side.

Cheers mate, would have liked to have seen the Black-caps give a better account of themselves in the final, but hey that's cricket. Thoroughly enjoyed the semi against SA what a nail biter and what a great build up to the final. You Aussie lads had us on the ropes early on and hey the rest is history. Yes agreed, we should be playing Australia a lot more regularly and don't really understand why this is? The Kiwi public certainly got behind the tournament and the overseas fans seemed to enjoy the venues too!:salute::

Why Australia doesn't play the Black Caps more often is a very 'sheepish' question indeed! The Kiwi public are being 'fleeced' once again, I guess there's just not enough 'gum boots' to go around. Baaaaaaaaaaaaa! :wink2:^&grin
