My new Brunswick figures arrived today and I was DELIGHTED to see they were in the old style, cardboard boxes.
I sincerely hope this will be the norm now and that we've seen the last of those dreadful clamshell packs.

Still waiting for my Brunswickers but been told they should be here early next week.
But good to hear that boxes are being used again.

I don't have any Britains products in my collection but have seen their products displayed at my local TS store. The plastic clamshell packaging makes them easier to display and the buyer can see the item without the dealer having to locate the box as with other makers like K & C and TGM. The clamshells do give the impression of a "commodity" rather than a "collectible" but does that really matter to most TS collectors. I've been known to collect the "occasional" Sci Fi based figure which are nearly always packaged in plastic cases on cardboard backing. Collectors can pay thousands for the rarer figures, are TS collectors more discerning/traditional than the average figure collector, it will be interesting to hear the opinions of other members.

I love the upmarket boxes with artwork.

I hate paying extra for upmarket boxes with artwork.

The smaller the packaging that protects the figure the better, IMO. My storage problems are due to big boxes used in the past to hold one figure.

I agree.........don't get me wrong.......I love the boxes, but as a WB collector of many years, the storage of boxes is getting near the limit for me. Some of the boxes are gigantic, but there again, with multi-figure sets like the ZW "rescue" what alternative is there ?
