paint falling off my soldier (1 Viewer)

It's okay Mate😃 The forum is to share things good or bad. But especially enjoy the hobby with each other. Next week again KC has an Upcoming Releases! I'm already curious what's going to come.
Must I rob a bank? 😂🤣😂🤣😂 or do I have to put my wife's cookbooks on eBay so I have more space for dioramas! O boy what a hobby👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I completely agree with you! I'm excited to see what Andy has made for us. I’m out of room in my home! I’m exploring every remedy available
Well, is it my fault that money's not enough? That’s a big problem!!! :redface2:
Enjoy your hobby!!!

In my experience this problem largely occurred with K&C soldiers produced in 2010 and a bit elsewhere. It seemed to me a cheaper paint was acquired to hold down costs. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

One of the biggest was the red flag on the Turkish standing officer in the light horse group.

Another was many of the the German Kriegsmarine figures as with these and many others left to be my my father and bought by me since I have touched up as I am a fair modeler and painter.

The world war 1 American Kings X club figure with colt 45 was another that was notorious for losing paint on the hat.

Basically, go buy some hobby paints in flat testor's and touch them up. I never received an option for replacement when dealing with brick and mortar. It surprised me as K&C seems to reproduce many items that were deemed retired.

Shows up on selected figures, as in this pic posted by Rich:

I have the the same problem on the same two figures, though less severe.

The figures are obviously primed, so that's not the cause.

I have fixed dozens of the AK figures and some of the LOJ. I have an example of that MK also.
Sometimes I think it might be moisture related. But I have repainted lots of those figures..... Freakin' shame.

I remember seeing one of those Turkish flags too. Huge amounts of paint loss.

Out of all the hundreds of KC figures in my collection this has only ever happened once, That was an WRAF figure who"s skirt came off!!!..well the paint came off her skirt..(RAF Blue paint) I don"t think the colour of the paint is relevant, IMO it is just down to contaminated undercoat or maybe incompatible layers..like acryl over oil base??????.
Anyhow it was no big deal, i just gave her skirt a little rub with fine steel wool and then a complete repaint in the correct shade....Hey presto, the lady was decent once more!!!!!.
