Splendid looking sets Wayne, thanks for posting.

Rob

Which version to choose ??
I think I'll go for the Normandy one this time! ( my SdKfz 253 is the winter version and my Hetzer is Russian)
How many crew with the gun ?
guy:)

Nice sets and TG is getting the camo patterns better with each release. but, not keen at all on the glasses the german crews are wearing!!! Very US para looking.

Thanks for posting the pictures Wayne, if I was already attracted to this new set just by seeing the previously posted pics, now I'm "in love"....!{sm4}{sm4}{sm4} Hard to tell which version I'm picking, probably the winter.

The dust goggles should actually look like this
guy:)

would be better without them especially on the winter sets very unecessary IMO?????
Mitch

Totally agree ... been collecting German memorabilia since the '60s and can safely say that the pictured dust goggles are wrong ... and that style is indeed better suited to Desert Storm in any event ... but style aside, they're out-of-place in a winter diorama ... the thin flimsy disposable plastic dust goggles may have been made pre-45 but rarely if ever seen in use pre-45 ... As most of you know, goggles were mainly worn by motorcyclists and on occasion by fellows who may have snagged a pair elsewhere. There were doubtless several stores of Brit flyers' goggles (very similar to Luftwaffe-issue goggles) found and distributed by the German Army after Dunkirk ... but that aside, I would challenge anyone to produce a wartime photo with an entire gun crew wearing goggles anywhere outside the Libyan desert or possibly Italy.

Ahh,
Here we tout accuracy in the figures. I'm all for it. Yet there are posts in other threads by the same not at all in favor of the accuracy. There just toy soldiers......

I'll be getting a set or two.

don't think I have ever heard anyone argue for less accuracy and detail. They would surely be a manufacturers dream customer!!!!!
Mitch

i think the USN flight deck folks had goggles like that then..... m1944 goggles

Crap i just particpated in a rivet counting excercise with treefroggers....regardless- adds to the conversation doesn't it!

Also know as B8 goggles i think

Which means that US paras probably had access to them....
