Got my WS-77 today and it is spectacular. I know, I've the knocks on it, 1250 is too many for a strictly limited, we'll see if it is or not, the figures are glued in and can't be moved around.....well forget about it, this vehicle is awesome.:D The figures are the usual K&C first rate and the halftrack makes the Grief look positvely weenie. The details, camo paint, accessories, and stowage are all beautifully done. You WWII guys, this one is absolutely a must have. Very nice job, Andy, thanks!;)

Fred

Be very careful unpacking this puppy, real tricky, has cable ties (not wire thankfully)that should be cut first, resist at all costs any temptation to pick up by the "shower rods".

Hi Fred
Good to hear its a super piece,I too thuoght 1250 was getting up their for
a ltd piece but ordered it as i thought it looked good.So i,m glad to hear it measures up in person.
Just have to find some space in my cabinet now

I'm sure you'll be quite pleased with it, it's a terrific piece, hope K&C gives us more variations of the 251.

Had to pack up my jadgpanther to make room for the WS-77, but it was an excellent trade off for me as the Panzer Meyer is now one of my new favorites and the jadgpanther......well not so much. Until the room in the basement is finished, display space is at a premium.

Hi guys,
I've just received my Meyer via FedEx in Antwerp, Belgium. Top of the bill!
I don't want to explain further as I know this will hurt everybody that has not ordered/received this masterpiece. I hope some other 251 types will follow!

I saw it for the first time today. On the upside, it is a great improvement over the Greif. The larger size makes for a better display piece (wow is that antenna long). It makes a great addition to the KC line. Thumbs up on the piece itself. On the downside, at $200 you are paying strictly limited prices for a normal run. It may or may not sell out eventually, but if your budget limits you to buying this one or the HB Winter Panter at $145 later this month - well you know my opinion.

Also saw the Alamo figures. The chapel facade was a real disappointment even at $40. Looks like something from a plastic playset. Really night and day when compared with the Berlin buildings which were great. The figures are average as well.

Its always nice to read a first hand opinion of items you only see in photos.

A lot of us do not have shops we can visit, only an occasional show....here

in Atlanta its once a year.

So thanks again, and I wish more members would post 1st hand opinions on

new products they see, it really helps.

One suggestion I have regarding the vehicles is that consideration be given to eliminating the use of decals. Realize that this may not yet be economical, but it bugs me when the light hits them a certain way and you can see the outline of the entire decal. Maybe the markings can be painted on for the higher end - strictly limited models. It is a small touch that might make a nice overall improvement.

The better model products usually have tampo printing that looks very much like the real thing, with no obvious edges or glare that the old style decals have.

Well he has just arrived in Bedfordshire,uk and i am well pleased.I Like the camo on this model and also the figures. It certainly is considerably bigger than the Greif and overall i really like it.I also like the final paragraph of the ltd ed card that states he served a"demonic" leader and a "murderous " regime. Some of you may remember the discussion we had some months ago(on another part of this forum)about praising Michael Wittman a little to much.Right, now i need that motorbike and sidecar to go with it!

Guys

A point of veiw on the strictly limited point you raise.

1250 how can this not be strictly limited when they are sold all over the world!!!! if you can tell the 30 customers who missed out in the UK that this run is to big then i will gladly field their calls to you guys.

I think this number is a good amount not to much and definatly not to little. Not one available from K&C UK and they were presold weeks ago.

Andy HAS to move with the growth of this monster called King & Country!

On the point of figures the Alamo remarkably for the UK market are selling very well. Packaging is awesome as well. Facade Appreciate where that comment comes from but when set with figures on a diorama base it looks real good.

Tony,

This is obviously a real cheek to ask but.....any sign of British para's!.

You can tell me and i won't breath a word.

Not cheeky..............but No is the answer sorry. Now bearing in mind we did not go years into the K&C future. Andy works on a 6month programme like all manafactures he is always thinking about the next thing as we all get the current thing.

So No, or to be more correct not that he told me.

Guys also not wanting to sound like i know what is going on at K&C HQ just that we had a very interesting meeting and the items that are planned are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G..........we are already trying to plan the warehouse space here at K&C UK

Tony

Tony,
For one, I am glad that you are not "spilling the beans" about new K&C products. I happen to enjoy the method used to introduce us to new items. It gives my little world something to look forward to. The excitement of the monthly postings and the "buzz" that is created when new sets are seen for the first time. The anticipation is a great experience to stimulate my interest. Looking back in time at the quality improvements and variety of releases, I find that the future is indeed something that I look forward too.

Which means no space problems in my wallet.

Received my Panzer Meyer vehicle last week and had to adjust curio shelving for that antenna to fit. Be careful with this one, you could lose an eye. Displays well and I'm happy with it. Curious as to why the long antenna and the roll bar antenna? Short and long range? Help anyone? I guess I could research it but I feel this forum has some very knowledgable participants that already have the answers. Thanks in advance..

Different freq. require different lengths of antenna.
Example CB Radio their freq. range require 104 ln. This can be 104" of wrap wire on a shorter pole or a 104" whip which is more effect. Some low freq. need long antenna's these could have been made up in the roll bar antenna.

I got mine yesterday and am very happy with it. Would have preferred the whip antenna been flexible so as to fit my display case. I will have make one that will flex and store the original.

Can i ask you Antenna experts for some advice. On the box and also the certificate the pictures clearly show a difference of length of Antenna,so are any of you cutting your Antenna to this sort of length.?

Rob

I think in the picture on the box the antenna was cut off by the photo. It probably wouldn't fit in the picture. I had the same problem with it not fitting in my shelf space. I replaced it with some flexible wire of the same length . The model itself is wonderful and is one of my favorites right now as are any of my recent new acquisitions to my K&C collection. I can't wait until Chicago. My girlfriend/wife found my "want" shopping list and boy am I in the doghouse. Bills first she says your "little toys" after. I still have problems with her logic on that subject sometimes.:D

Received my Panzer Myer today. As expected, the model is in the true spirit of KC quality, accuracy and detailness... WUNDERVAR! But, the fixed crew looks smaller. I guess if you remove the the leaning officer, you can get away with the fixed seated driver and 2 radiomen (Andy did it on the GREIF and why not on this one?). You can always put the officer back with a tacky wax. Tips anyone on how to unglue the leaning officer???

The Supply Depot was also great!

N-P

Sage742, I hope your girlfriend and wife found the want list seperatly and they did not find out about each other. You will be in more than the doghouse if the latter happens.
