Thank you guys for all of the kind words of encouragement posted here on the forum, the private messages, emails and your prayers. We really do appreciate it.
Here is little Sarah in my arms one week ago today.
I thought you guys might enjoy these pictures below on a lighter note. My daughter Kayla, the 2 year old in the middle, and two of her cousins playing last Monday evening in our house as we all gathered for a meal the church prepared for us. Kayla and I play a lot with the castle and the Schleich knights she has in her closet, but somehow the girls grabbed the ACW toy soldiers to use with the castle itself. They all three insisted they were not playing with "boy toys". It was really cute. It kept them all occupied for about an hour.
Thanks for taking the time to let us know how you're doing. I'm sure that with a cute daughter like Kayla and wonderful cousins and family, that you guys will, in the end, emerge strong from this and be better than ever.
I want to thank everyone for the past several weeks for your prayers and concerns for my family. My wife and I are doing much better. Today my wife was a little teary eyed at church and lunch afterwards because our baby Sarah would have been 6 weeks old today. My wife just put out 3 pictures of Sarah around the house recently including my favorite one of her below on our mantle. I believe this has really been a very helpful step for her.
What a beautiful little child .This picture of your daughter has touched me deeply. She looks just like my daughter Sienna and that age. God speed little one and keep strong you guys .Simmo.
