Here is an image of some upcoming Patriot figures. They look very good!

Is that all one set (all figures on the one base)? Regardless, very nice.

Yes, very nice indeed! Are these 1/30th scale and if so are they available in the U.K.?
Keep up the good work Robert.
Regards
Jeff.

Gentle Friends,

I knew I should never have started collecting Napoleonics! It will be my financial ruin! Those figures are impossible to resist. I must have them!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Excellent detail and realist poses. I like the way the singles fit together into a group and I'm also impressed with the extra foliage etc on the bases which adds to the realism. Imo the green-yellow bases on the recent WWII figures (Ike etc) let them down somewhat, but these Napeleonic issues more than make up for that.

I hope all the new figures from Patriot will have well detailed basaes like these, if so, I feel they will be a winner for them. There is getting to be very little difference between the manufacturers figures and heaps more product these days. Which will make us collectors more choosy, it's either that or we will go broke from spending to much :)

These soldiers really look great. I have not heard of this company before. Can anyone tell me more about them? Also does anybody know how much these guys will be?

Thanks,
Old Guard

Hi Old Guard -

We don't have pricing on these yet, but as soon as we do we'll post it here and get it on our web site.

I'll let Robert from Patriot speak up and give his background. He's a Forum regular.

Hi All,
Glad that you like them.

Old Guard,
We are a HongKong based company, and Patriot is a new line of 1/32 hand painted figures, in pewter and matt finished, that we created recently.
They are all developped and made in HongKong and China. At the moment, we have the WWII, Chinese soldiers series, and the new Napoleonic line will be added to the collection very soon. You can find the whole range here on this site.
We'll inform our dealers as soon as we have the final price on these.

Aujj65, they are 1/30th.
As of to date, they are not available in the UK yet. I am afraid you may have to get them from Treefrog or from your preffered dealers in the US.
But we'll try to get them into Europe as some dealers there started to show interests in our figures.

Robert,

Thanks for the information and quick responce. A few questions for you. In your post you state that you are a 1/32 company but then later state that these Napoleonic soldiers are 1/30. Could you just verify for me which scale the Naploleonic and WWII soldiers are? Also I am not seeing your web address for your company. I also see on Treefrog that your WWII line has a very limited production run. How big a production run our you thinking of doing for your Napoleonic soldiers? Lastly how do I get a cool animated Old Guard icon in my posts. Very cool Robert.

Thanks,
Old Guard

Wow those poses are simply fantastic. I agree with Oz on the bases. They are much better than earlier stuff. I only wish they were going to be at the show. I can't wait to see them in person. Also that is the best smiley icon I,ve ever seen.:)

Old Guard,
Sorry, it's a typing error. It should be 1/30 and not 32.
Our site is http://www.patriotmodels.com
The Napies will also be a small run too.
You can right click on the icon and save it on your computer, and insert it in your text as an image, but it has to be uploaded to a server, unless some else has a better way to do this.

Thanks Sage, looks like we have to plan for the next Chicago show and got to meet you all in person.

Robert

These are some great looking napoleonics!!! I hope these are the first of many to come. Who will these guys be shooting at???

I hope it will NOT be more british again, there are to many british out there already. I realy hope to see someone do some austrains and if they look anything like these french you,ll have a good chunch of my money.:p

And if you do go the peninsular war or waterloo route how about some british allies like deaths head brunswickers or prussains, spanish troops, spanish guerrillas, portugess cacadores, dutch, belgain, nassua grenadiers or anything other than MORE british like EVERYONE ELSE.

Keep up the great work!!!

YES !!! I couldn't agree more. It would be great to see Austrian, Russian or Prussian troops.

Robert,

Thanks for answering all of my questions. I look forward to hearing more about your soldiers. Hopefully there will be some at Chicago so that Steve Chong can take a look.

Thanks,
Old Guard

Robert,

I really like the look of your new Napoleonic figures and was thinking of buying them. However, I have changed my mind since you have stated that this will be a very limited release. I like to collect large formats of Napoleonic troops in order to make for an impressive diorama display. I need to know that the figures will be there since it takes me a while to purchase the 30 or so figures I would like to represent that regiment.

Hopefully you might rethink the limited release idea when doing Napoleonic figures.

You're welcome Old Guard,

King's Man,
Thanks for your feedback and valuable suggestion.
We are actually in the process of refining the painting on the prototypes, and still have time to reconsider your input.
I totally agree with you and understand your point.

Regards
Robert

Thanks Fishead, Dragoon and Red Devil.
All messages received, but ... "What should we do, what should we do" without the British? :D
I am glad and really surprised with all these feedbacks from all the Napoleonic fans on this site who are also expects in this area.
Thanks again Fishead for asking for the Napies months ago, as they were not in the plan for this year back then.
Robert

Thank you for your quick response. Sorry, my earlier message posted twice, I'm having problems with the forum and posting.

I do eagerly look forward to seeing your future Napoleonic releases. I will definitely buy at least one so I can see it up close. If it looks as good as I think it will, I will find it very hard to resist buying more.
