The original cost was $599 so I'm not sure how much more it would be. Obviously the greater the interest, the lower the cost.

Jazzeum...

Without it seeming to be a price issue which, its not, they will have the original moulds etc and will just use different materials for said mould. Just cannot see why it should be more than the original price which, as you state and on the sites was not too bad for the detail.

I guess I will await the price

I'm sure it's not that simple as you would make it out to be. I've been involved, as an attorney, with manufacturing and engineering issues are not that clear cut.

Thats the lawyer head on and, although I do not have civil experience in relation to business as I find it rather dull law, lucrative but, dull. I know enough about the hobby now to know its not as complicated etc as one is lead to believe.

No offense but unless you're in manufacturing or a manufacturing engineer, I don't think you understand the issues.

Moreover, if Rick says it's a little more expensive, I believe him.

None taken. However, having just spoken in the last week with a person who makes such items and has worked for certain companies then I am a little more clued up about the manufacturing side of toy soldiers than I was before. Indeed, an eye opening process.

As I said, I await the price

Hi Mitch,
I had 4 of these bridges sent over from matt and as Brad said they were just not made for shipping.
The key problem was that the 2 bases either end of the bridge were made from solid polystone as were the counterbalance and control hut above the bridge.
So, when assembled it was rather top heavy. Even before assembly those heavy parts tended to move around in shipping and break the more fragile rails and support legs.
I have assembled one which I managed to salvage/create from the various pieces but I cannot risk moving it, even to bring to shows.
As to a remake and cost, don't forget this was originally in 1/32 scale and is now nearly 5 years old since launch.
With the cost of labour in China and shipping risen significantly since then and retooling into a different scale (potentially 1/30) I can see why the cost would be more.
By the way if you want to see one in the flesh KandC UK have one in their showroom not too far from you used as an Arnhem scene.
I'll keep lobbying Rick for a remake and we should all cross our fingers.
Regards
Clive

As I said I await the price and, was not doubting the process but, was not aware it was 1/32 scale. Making it in 1/30 would seem impractical because of size. I did say that I thought for the detail it was worth it as I was originally wanting one.

I suppose that with all these parts by chance do you have any left and wanting rid of?
Mitch
