Polizei Armoured Car (1 Viewer)

I received my armoured car today and was not disappointed. Very unusual, but unique. Thanks Combat. I wouldn't have gotten it without your comments.

Glad that you liked it. Otherwise I would be forced to come to Hawaii and retrieve it. Maybe never leave. Now all you need is a good Alan Furst novel.

Lets see some photos, not the staged shots, but in a real collection!

I need something to push me over the edge.:D

I had another look at that armoured car today and have to say that the more I see it the better it looks. Something like the women at clubs get better looking the more you drink ;)

You old charmer!:D

I would love to post photos, but I'm new to the forum and don't know how.

If you have a camera that can download your pictures to your computer its

a snap. Drop me a PM and I will walk you through it.

LOL Rob, as you well know, a charmer I ain't. I had to use the 'honesty is the best policy' approach, but it was surprising how many females appreciate a guy that doesn't bs to them. Of course I soon learned they don't like too much honesty such as "yes darling, those jeans do make your a$$ look big".

Moderation in all things Oz,including honesty!;)

Here are a couple of line drawings of the Armored car. From what I have read, they made about 52 of these vehicles.

Credit crunch and poor gas mileage. I think the Army switched over to a VW Beetle with a Machine Gun mounted on the sunroof.

According to "German Early War Armored Fighting Vehicles" -George Bradford 2007 Stackpole Books ------ After Germany annexed Austria, it selected 14armored cars from the firm ADGZ for SS-police duties in the Danzig area in September 1939. They were designated as Polizei-PzKpfw.ADGZ.
27 had been built for the Austrian Army originally, but the SS-police crews liked them so much that they ordered 25 more in early 1942.

Armoured Car landed today, and it is quite nice. A welcome addition to the

Im thinking about getting this one day but I am in no rush its going to be around for awhile yet. Very nice.

Which way round should it be? Or is it one of those kind of "Push-me-Pull-you's" with a steering wheel at each end?

Actually quite a nice model and it seems to grow on you the longer you look at it.

My thought also, but I'm glad I finally broke down, its a unique piece that

is really nice! I'm going to fool around with it on a couple of diorama's until it

finds a nice home!:D
