My soldiers are placed in curio's, they just stand on the shelves. But I hope that one day I can find the time, inspiration, money and space to build a diorama...

All of my figures are displayed on glass shelves in curios, but I arrange them in dioramas or vignettes with a few scenic pieces like trees or building facades -- so a bit of both or "Other.":)

I had to answer other, because there is no box for all of the above. I use both large and small dioramas, curios, and shelves to display my collection.

Thanks for setting this poll up Brad, I've found polls very handy to find out collectors preferences.

Btw, I plugged for the shelf option. I do have a few dios but most of my models just sit on glass shelves with not much in the way of accessories.

I plugged the shelf option as well. That's all I have really room for and I'm running out of that as well.

Gentle Friends,

I checked the shelf option as most of my collection which is out for viewing rests on glass shelves inside a variety of curios - tall curios, wall mounted curios, and small curios that are placed on tables and desks.

Warm regards,

Pat

Hi Guys,I currently have three glass display cabinets..one is for parade troops, the second for small dioramas..and the third for single display ..tanks..ern:cool:

Displayed in cabinets, some shelves and stored boxes. Pile of figures on workbench awaiting repair or painting. John

I had to vote other.
Part of our collection is displayed in small dioramas stuck up on the wall using strong shelf supports. Part is displayed in open cabinets, and the rest is displayed in a glassed cabinet. These are actually "in waiting" for me to add them to new dios, thus clearing space for Missus Heid to exclusively display her stuff in there, crystal, curios from our travels, etc.
Cheers
H

Some are in curio cabinets. Others are on book shelves mixed in around the books. The rest are in dioramas most of which are small shelf size with a couple being larger tabletop size.

With the exception of the two display cabinets, every diorama/display here is stuck on the wall of my cave using shelf supports.
Cheers
H

Just a few pics. I'm certainly no Ansel Adams so I apologize for the quality:).

Thanks Rob,
If its the napoleonics you're referring to, they're 90% K&C. The rest are some unknown figures I bought in Budapest several years ago.
BTW, I've tidied up the edges of the bases by attaching picture frames. Hides my cack-handedness with the paint and sets off the shelf dios really well. Have a look at thye Charge of the Light brigade diorama further back in this thread and you'll see what I mean.

Harry , I realy like those large displays of figures.
Its one of the advantages of earlier periods of history for
me that you can fit more figures in to a ltd space without
it looking crowded.
The light Brigade display looks great but I aint looking too hard because
it,ll become a slippery slope and i,m holding out for the Thin red line.

That is a nice looking room. Are those Tradition Napoleonics lined up on the bookshelves by any chance?

Thanks again Rob, aaa-haaaa, but I have big plans for my next non-WWII diorama. Just waiting for the figures to arrive at our office in Bangkok - then get them home.
They'll be posted in the Diorama section once I get to work on what I've got in mind.

Cheers
