Pop Culture- for fun (1 Viewer)

Hey Gang-

I've noticed there are quite a few movie buffs among us. Just for fun, if toy soldier manufacturers were to stray into Indie/ Pop Culture theme- which theme would you be interested in? Assume that prices were in the $35-40 figure range...priced accordingly to todays market.

Another interesting theme question. I voted for 20,000 Leagues under the Sea.

That would give a lot of fun especially if they made the submarine and a giant squid to mess with it!

I voted for Indiana Jones, but I would love to see figures from Kelly's Heroes, the Guns of Navarone, the Old Clint Eastwood/Sergio Leone Spaghetti Westerns, George MacDonald Frasier's Flashman and MacAuslan books, heck, I'd even love to see Calvin and Hobbes figures!^&grin

I voted for Blade Runner, by far my favorite sci-fi film and a darned fine book. Also voted for Dune, which is far and away my favorite book, sci-fi or not. Has been done in movie form before, but none of the films have done the book justice. And just for the heck of it, I would like to see a TS maker do a series of John Wayne figures. 50 or so figures of The Duke in his various roles should do. :wink2: -- Al

Andrea already make quite a few figures based on film icons.Gary Cooper in Beau Geste, Clint Eastwood as the Man with No Name, etc. Worth checking them out. Trooper

I went for Leagues, as the figures would also look good with many other themes, and could be used to add a bit of humor to a Nile gunboat.... But what I REALLY want is Flashman, the Brigadier Gerard, Homes (matt), and Sharpe!

Tradition models did two Sharpe's Rifle's sets, with several of the main characters from the first few books.

I voted for 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, from what I remember the sailors uniforms are similar to the Trophy CSA sailors in the sets I have recently found
