This week of remembrance and respect to those who have given their lives to protect us and those who still are and, we see appalling scenes from certain sections of our community burning poppy's and jeering during the two minutes silence.

Don't think I can comment without the post being deleted about how I feel about these people. Scumbags is the cleanest I can think of

I'm trying hard not to explode to be honest. Best we not say to say too much, but its totally beyond them to realise that if it wasn't for all those millions of War dead they would not be able to protest freely on the streets of London. Beneath contempt.

Rob...

I just saw it on the news and felt the same. I cannot believe the police stood by and watched this go on!!! absolutely horrendous apparently some of the same people who jeered the coffins being repatriated through Wooten Basset.

Makes my blood boil. just shows the level of these people.

I hadn't heard about this and just looked it up. It is beneath contempt. If I say anymore about those "people" I'll probably get myself a heavy infranction. They should throw the lot out of the country.

Absolutely agree, the disgrace is they are allowed to do this but we cannot say how we really feel. As Brad said they should not be allowed to stay in this country.

Rob

I'll say it, Brad--Islamofascists. But the police did arrest the counter-protesters, who were native-born soccer hooligans.

Ignorance, Arrogance, and Childishness in a small section of young, educated idiots is present in both of our countries it seems.

What a disgrace. Ignoring the obvious bigotry of the protestors against non-muslims and the UK, their "adopted" (I use that term with obvious sarcasm) country, no one should ever be protesting troops or veterans. They serve their country, at great risk to their own lives, at the orders of duly elected public officials. If you don't like a nation's policies, protest the government. Give the president or prime minister a hard time, not the brave young men and women risking their lives for your and my safety.

I, and any other citizen of the free world, should have nothing to say to the brave Allied troops and veterans of this and every war of the 20th and 21st Centuries, other than THANK YOU!

To frightened of being called ''racist''. The sad thing is that they are born in the UK but, have not one shred of alliegience to the country. I have to fully agree with the Baron and, for me it would not matter one jot whether they were black white yellow or whatever religious persuasion, they are ''scumbags'' for the sheer lack of disrespect they have shown and the outrage they have caused.

Holy Cow, that sort of protest is just too beyond the pale to even comprehend. I am without the proper words to say more on this as well.

Superb post Louis.

Unfortunately we’re too soft to get rid of the bastards!

Welcome to the 21st Century fellas. We have had a very highly documented case of some chucklehead religious nutjobs celebrating the death of American soldiers AT THE FALLEN SOLDIERS F'ING FUNERAL because they perceive the US as being pro *** and lesbian.

How'd you like that- going to bury your son or daughter and have these dip****s SUPPORTING THE DEATH OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBER within earshot of the ceremony

Treason in the extreme.

Well I know where the Honor Guard should have been aiming their rifles during the salute.

It's one thing to disagree with their viewpoint, and another to say they shouldn't be allowed to express it. That's the trade off in a free society. They recently allowed a KKK rally in Gettysburg. So long as they follow all the applicable laws then you can't prohibit them from speaking because of the content of their message.

Good Point because thats part of being a soldier in the US. In the oath we take to Support and Defend the Constitution, however I would still like to toss a rock or a well earned grenade at these sort of scumbags because they certainly seem to be enemies of the domestic type.

But thats merely my opinion.
