Gentlemen,
I’m certain a lot of you are already well aware of the major auction by the Old Soldiers Auctions U.S.A., scheduled for 20 November 2010. Principally the late Fred Wehr Collection of predominantly boxed and unboxed vintage Britains; there is an additional element of the auction which bears on the emerging situation with King & Country, i.e. discounting and retroactive price increases. Specifically at auction will be 107 boxed sets of King & Country figures and vehicles. That count includes 14 certificated sets of the Arnhem ’44 Series. I think the hammer price (plus 18% buyer fee! Too rich for my blood!) on these sets will offer some “guidance/insight” to the learned members of this forum as to “Whence goeth the King with the Country”. In addition there is an extensive offering of Imperial and Hocker sets on the auction block as well. The complete color illustrated auction catalog(ue) can be downloaded from http://oldtoysoldierauctions.com/default.html.
Best regards,
Arnhemjim
