I am preparing a new dio . The background will be a ruined and bombed French factory.I will show you the different stages that Ihave done already. I am asking all of you treefroggers" Which K&C figures should I use to complete the scene ?"
stage 1:
painting of the factory facade
stage 2:
adding the stairs leading to the offices and painting them
stage 3: painting the interior, adding the broken windows and the beams to support the 1st floor.Stage 4 will be building the ground-and first floor and adding all the detail.

Looks great Guy. I would have said some Russians would look good in this scene, but since you said it was a French fatory, I'll have to think. Maybe some of the early Waffen sets like WS049 or WS060which have figures in action poses that could be used for street fighting. Or some of my favorites like DD097, DD098, DD099 showing US figures in action or in "caution" mode.

Great stuff. I would look towards the FOB range and create an early war dio setting

Guy,

What did you use to make your bricks on the sides of the building?

Looks great so far.

British para's with some of the Hitlerjugend soldiers would look good.

Cheers Rif

Wow, a GREAT looking set up. I immediately thought of Stalingrad or Fall of Berlin, but that's just me.

Guy,

Looks good, is that a kit? Who makes it? It looks very familiar. It makes me think of Stalingrad or maybe the scene from "Band of Brothers" in Carentan. Some Normandy FJ's would do the trick.

Yes it is a kit nl: MiniArt "ruined corner factory" You only get two walls and a staircase. How you finish the look of the building ( ej I replaced the door downstairs, the windows by wooden planks and corrugated plate) and the interior is up to your imagination

Rif,
This is a MiniArt kit. The basic colour of the mould is grey. The effect with the bricks is obtained simply by painting. Applying suttle and big contrasts in the colours you use and on the right places.

Guy,

Can you post pics with some KC for scale purposes? I've looked into these kits before, but wasn't sure how they would look with KC.

Dear Guy:
Your new diorama will look splendid! In addition to some German troops how about using two or all three of K&C's FFI (French Forces of the Interior) Resistance Fighters? They should still be available at good prices on eBay or from a dealer somewhere.

here are the pics you asked for
scale differences ? for me there are none . I used TG and K&C figurines just to be on the safe side. Just to be safe, when building a diorama using 1/35 scale buildings and 1/30 scale figures. Just put your building 8mm-1cm higher than the general ground-level of your dio and the problem is solved ( look closely at the pictures, that is what I did)

Guy,

Very nice! Figures go well with the building. Now I just need to work on my painting skills. Thanks for posting.

Guy, really looks great and is coming together nicely. I like the desk in the office. You've done an excellent job painting as well.

Love the look of the first floor ruins, look forward to the finished product...Sammy
